Sobre esta vaga de Junior Account Manager - PitcheroGPS na Pitchero
Location: Leeds
Working pattern: Full-time | 4 days per week in our Leeds office
Team: PitcheroGPS
Start your career in sports technology
PitcheroGPS is looking for a bright, ambitious graduate to join our growing team in Leeds.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong academic background and a passion for sport, technology and performance.
You'll work with sports teams around the world using PitcheroGPS to monitor player performance. You'll learn how GPS wearable technology works, help onboard and support customers, manage the delivery of hardware and take responsibility for making sure every detail of the customer experience is right.
This isn't a narrow graduate role.
You'll gain hands-on experience across sports technology, GPS wearables, customer success, logistics, product support, billing and account management — giving you an excellent foundation for a career in the sports technology industry.
The role
As a Junior Account Manager, you'll help look after PitcheroGPS customers from the moment they become a customer.
You'll work closely with our Account Management, Sales, Marketing and senior management teams to make sure every customer receives a first-class experience.
You'll become an expert in the PitcheroGPS product and take responsibility for several important parts of the customer journey.
Customer onboarding
You'll help new teams get up and running with PitcheroGPS.
That includes:
- Setting up new customer accounts accurately.
- Preparing teams to start using PitcheroGPS.
- Helping coaches and performance staff understand the product.
- Making sure customers have everything they need before their first session.
- Following the onboarding process from initial order through to successful use of the system.
Customer support
You'll provide second-line product support to PitcheroGPS customers around the world.
You'll investigate questions and problems, understand what has happened and work with colleagues to find the right solution.
You'll need to communicate clearly and professionally with coaches, analysts and sports professionals while developing an excellent technical understanding of GPS wearable technology.
Product testing & quality control
Every PitcheroGPS kit should arrive with the customer in perfect condition and ready to use.
You'll help:
- Test GPS hardware before dispatch.
- Check every order carefully.
- Configure equipment where required.
- Inspect products for faults or damage.
- Pack orders to a high standard.
- Make sure every component of an order is present and correct.
Attention to detail is critical. We want every customer opening a PitcheroGPS delivery to feel they've received a premium sports technology product.
Global dispatch & logistics
PitcheroGPS works with sports teams around the world.
You'll help manage the process of getting our technology from our Leeds office into the hands of customers.
This includes:
- Preparing and dispatching customer orders.
- Working with couriers and logistics partners.
- Producing accurate shipping documentation.
- Tracking deliveries.
- Helping resolve delayed or failed deliveries.
- Managing international shipping requirements and customs documentation.
- Helping ensure products move efficiently across international borders.
Accounts, billing & renewals
You'll also help make sure the commercial details behind every account are correct.
You'll check customer records, billing information, subscriptions and renewals to ensure customers are charged correctly and at the right time.
Accuracy matters. You'll be expected to spot discrepancies, investigate them and make sure they're resolved.
Requirements
Who we're looking for
We're particularly interested in graduates who want to build a career in sports technology, sports performance or wearable technology.
A degree in Sports Science, Sports Performance, Strength & Conditioning or a closely related subject would be particularly relevant.
More important than the exact degree, however, is the person.
We're looking for someone who is:
- Academically strong — with an excellent academic record and strong exam results.
- Highly intelligent and quick to learn — able to understand new technology and processes quickly.
- Exceptionally detail-focused — someone who notices small errors that other people miss.
- Highly organised — comfortable managing multiple customers, orders and tasks without losing track of the detail.
- Focused and methodical — able to follow processes accurately and consistently.
- Naturally curious — someone who wants to understand how and why things work.
- Comfortable with technology and data.
- A strong communicator — confident dealing professionally with customers around the world.
- A problem solver — able to investigate an issue rather than simply pass it to somebody else.
- Passionate about sport and excited by the opportunity to work in sports technology.
Experience using GPS technology, sports performance software or wearable technology would be useful, but isn't essential. We'll teach you the product.
What we can't teach is attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and the determination to get things right.
Why PitcheroGPS?
Pitchero has been building technology for sport for more than 15 years.
PitcheroGPS brings professional-level GPS performance technology to sports teams, helping coaches and players understand physical performance through real-world data.
As a Junior Account Manager, you'll be exposed to far more than you would in a traditional graduate account management role.
You'll learn about:
Sports performance. GPS technology. Wearable hardware. Software. Data. Customer success. International logistics. Billing. Sales. Marketing.
You'll work alongside experienced colleagues across the business and deal directly with sports teams using our technology around the world.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of how an international sports technology business actually works.
Where you'll work
The role is based at the Pitchero head office in Tingley, Leeds.
We believe graduates learn faster when they're surrounded by experienced people, so this is primarily an office-based role, with four days each week working from our Leeds office.
You should therefore live — or be prepared to live — within a sensible commuting distance of Leeds.
Where could the role take you?
We're looking for someone with the potential to grow quickly.
As your knowledge and experience develop, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility across account management, customer success, operations, product and the wider PitcheroGPS business.
If you're smart, ambitious, love sport and want to start your career in the sports technology industry, we'd love to hear from you.
