GE Vernova’s Electrification Software’s largest Grid Software Global Delivery Center is based in Bucharest. It allows us to bring a significant contribution to the Worldwide Electrical Energy context. We deliver mission-critical solutions that drive energy transition, focusing on Energy Transmission, Distribution, Asset Management, and Market Management to shape the current and future energy environment.

What You Would Work On:
Our teams support software solutions for R&D, services, and support for Electrification Software’s products while liaising with stakeholders and customers all around the globe.
At GE Vernova’s Electrification Software business, you will join a high performing team delivering global projects that support decarbonization and drive the energy transition. You'll receive guidance from colleagues and leaders as you develop your skills and understanding of the business.

Responsible for designing highly complex modules, critical components or a whole application/product in its entirety. Has the vision to integrate it across multiple systems. This position works independently and is seen as a technical leader. The position is responsible for driving the design and development efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability and performance in alignment with the product/application roadmap.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving Java software in a fast paced and agile development environment;

• Provide guidance to developers with either planning and execution and/or design architecture using agile methodologies such as SCRUM;

• Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision;

• Capture system level requirements by brainstorming with CTO, Sr. Architects, Data Scientists, Businesses & Product Managers;

• Lead impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations and implementation strategy.

Education Qualification

• Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with advanced experience

Desired Characteristics/Technical Expertise

• Expert level skills in design, architecture and development, with an ability to take a deep dive in the implementation aspects if the situation demands;

• Expert in core data structures as well as algorithms, implementing high-quality Java solutions using Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, SQL databases;

• Experience with Front-End development ( GWT, Angular );

• Knowledgeable about developments in UX in various contexts, businesses, and industries;

• Significant experience with various Agile methodologies.
