The Sr Project Manager IT leads complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from concept through delivery, creating clarity, momentum, and alignment across business and technical teams. This role is accountable for guiding project teams, defining practical delivery plans, managing scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, risks, action items and decisions. As a senior project manager, this person is expected to lead multiple projects concurrently.Essential Job Duties
- Lead complex IT projects and programs from initiation through delivery, ensuring business objectives, scope, timelines, budget, risks, and outcomes are actively managed and communicated.
- Develop and maintain clear project plans, status reporting, risk and issue logs, action items tracker, communication plans, dependency tracking, budget forecasts, and decision records.
- Create materials and communicate project health, status, risks, tradeoffs, decisions, and business impact in a concise, tailored manner for executives, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
- Build trusted relationships across business and technology groups by listening well, creating transparency, resolving ambiguity, and encouraging collaborative problem-solving.
- Facilitate productive meetings, working sessions, and executive updates that drive alignment, accountability, and timely decisions.
- Lead or coordinate the work of other project team members, vendors, analysts, or project managers to support technical projects or programs.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with sound judgment in escalating risks, framing options, and recommending next steps.
- Assume other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Lead the work of others performing similar or related work. May set priorities, assign tasks, schedule and review work, and provide guidance, without responsibility to hire, terminate, conduct performance reviews, or make pay decisions.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of related project management experience required, including experience leading cross-functional technology projects.
Preferred Requirements
- Project management certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Copilot.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, Visio, or similar tools.
- Experience leading projects that involve business process change, systems integration, vendor coordination, or enterprise technology delivery.
- Experience with program management.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and Powerpoint presentations to support business objectives.
- Demonstrate use of computer operations (programming, relational databases, and operating systems) and software packages.
- Frequently communicates complex information across departments and interacts with management. Can present, resolve, and address delicate situations. Can motivate and persuade others.
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
- Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents, and practices.
- Decisions impact the management and operations within a department or business unit. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department.
- Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
- Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Work is primarily sedentary: must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse, frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
