We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Retail Technology team, leading the delivery of complex and business-critical technology programmes across Asda.
This role will take ownership of high-profile initiatives, including AI Camera and Electronic Shelf Edge Label (ESEL) programmes, helping to drive innovation and operational excellence across our stores.
You'll be responsible for managing projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, within budget and with clear business outcomes. Working across multiple stakeholder groups, you'll provide the right level of communication and reporting, from senior leadership through to operational teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and capable Project Manager who enjoys working at pace, thrives in a complex environment, and can take ownership of programmes with minimal supervision.
Please be advised that this position requires attendance at Asda House in Leeds for a minimum of three days per week. We’re really looking forward to having you around!
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading end-to-end delivery of complex technology projects and programmes.
- Managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks and dependencies.
- Driving project governance and ensuring delivery remains on track.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Technology and the wider business.
- Providing clear and tailored communications to different audiences, from operational teams through to senior leadership.
- Identifying and mitigating risks and issues before they impact delivery.
- Coordinating multiple workstreams and ensuring successful implementation of change.
- Working closely with business teams to ensure solutions meet operational requirements.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience delivering complex projects and programmes.
- Strong project management skills, including management of cost, risk, time and quality.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working independently and taking ownership of delivery.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the confidence to drive programmes forward.
Desirable
- Experience delivering retail technology programmes.
- Experience with AI-enabled technology solutions.
- Experience implementing Electronic Shelf Edge Labels (ESELs).
- Experience delivering large-scale operational or transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
