Company Profile:
In the summer of 2021, Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the U.S. through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction was Repsol's first foray into the U.S. renewables market. In 2024, Repsol made another strategic acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. Repsol Renewables Services North America (RRSNA) is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.
We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional IT Intern for our summer program to join our Information Technology team.

This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17, 2027 – August 6, 2027, in Downtown Houston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Information Technology team in maintaining and optimizing business systems, applications, and technology infrastructure across the organization.
- Assist in analyzing IT operations, system performance, and technology processes to support business objectives.
- Support the development and maintenance of IT dashboards, reporting tools, and technology management resources.
- Assist in analyzing system performance metrics, service requests, and key technology drivers to support operational excellence initiatives.
- Review technology and operational data to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and improvement strategies affecting IT performance.
- Support the evaluation of technology solutions, software applications, and process enhancement initiatives.
- Assist with technical and business analysis used to support technology investments, system improvements, and digital transformation efforts.
- Prepare IT reports, dashboards, presentations, and other analytical materials for management and leadership teams.
- Support the tracking and analysis of technology projects, service metrics, system upgrades, and business performance indicators.
- Assist with data collection, validation, and reporting across multiple business functions, including Finance, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Human Resources, and Legal teams.
- Create and maintain IT documentation, presentation materials, reporting templates, user guides, and process improvement tools.
- Participate in special projects focused on operational excellence, system optimization, cybersecurity awareness, automation, and digital innovation.
- Analyze large datasets using Excel and other business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and present project updates, technology findings, and business recommendations to management and leadership teams.
- Coordinate and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams to support informed technology and operational decision-making.
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of sponsorship.
- Enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in information technology, business systems, cybersecurity, data analytics, digital transformation, or technology operations.
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, software applications, databases, cybersecurity principles, or IT support concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical, operational, and business data.
- Experience with data analysis, IT support, system administration, reporting, or technology projects is preferred.
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, SQL, ServiceNow, or similar technology and reporting tools is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced business environment.
