Job Overview: 

LPL Financial is seeking a Summer Intern to join the Email & Marketing Automation team within Digital. This role is a great fit for a student interested in marketing technology, channel performance, customer journeys, personalization, and how enterprise platforms work together to power modern marketing. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced partners across marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and digital strategy to support initiatives across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MCP, Data Cloud, and Salesforce CRM. You will gain hands-on exposure to how platforms, data, and testing help improve campaign performance and audience engagement. 

Responsibilities: 

• Support channel and campaign performance analysis across email and related digital experiences 

• Help identify trends, optimization opportunities, and best practices across automated and triggered communications 

• Assist with reporting, dashboards, and summaries tied to engagement, conversion, and lead generation 

• Support documentation of customer journeys, campaign requirements, audience logic, and platform dependencies 

• Participate in testing and implementation of new martech capabilities, including AI-enabled features, personalization opportunities, and real-time integrations 

• Help evaluate how systems and data flows connect across Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MCP, Data Cloud, and CRM 

• Assist with QA, launch preparation, and post-launch monitoring for digital campaigns and automated programs 

• Contribute to summer projects focused on martech innovation, journey optimization, or performance insights

Requirements: 

• Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028​ 

• Interest in the Marketing and Public Relations industry​ 

• Offer is contingent upon successful background screening and agreement to be local to the Fort Mill - Selected candidates will operate out of the office working on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office) 

Core Competencies: 

• Strong communication, collaboration and time management skills with the ability to write engaging content and provide recommendations. ​ 

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) ​ 

• Basic knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, social media management tools, platforms 

Preferences: 

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Marketing, Business, Communications, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field 

• Strong interest in marketing technology, campaign performance, analytics, or customer experience 

• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn 

• Comfortable working with data in Excel or similar tools 

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Summer Internship Schedule:  

• Full - time position for 10 weeks in the summer of 2027; Monday through Friday, working 40 hours a week during business operating hours.   

• Internship dates: 6/1/2027 – 8/6/2027

Hourly Rate:
