IAM Operations Analyst

Position Summary

Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations is responsible for managing the lifecycle of user, service, and privileged accounts across enterprise systems, applications, databases, and infrastructure.

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Analyst for IAM Automation to help transform manual operational processes through automation, artificial intelligence, and data-driven improvements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, building solutions, and learning new technologies.

Working alongside IAM operational and engineering teams, you will identify opportunities to eliminate repetitive tasks, develop automation solutions, create AI-powered assistants, and improve the overall efficiency of IAM services.

You do not need extensive IAM experience to succeed in this role. We are looking for individuals who are curious, eager to learn, and passionate about using technology to make work better, faster, and smarter.

What You'll Do

• Automation & Process Improvement
• Analyze IAM operational processes and identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation.
• Help evaluate workflows and determine their suitability for automation.
• Design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions using scripting, workflow tools, and AI technologies.
• Evaluate new processes and newly onboarded applications to determine automation feasibility to reduce manual tasks.
• Continuously look for opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.

AI & Intelligent Automation

• Explore the use of AI agents or other automation tools to eliminate repetitive tasks and enhance service delivery.
• Develop AI-powered chatbots and virtual assistants that support IAM operations and end users.
• Leverage generative AI tools to improve knowledge management, documentation, communication, and operational workflows.
• Participate in proof-of-concepts and pilot programs for emerging automation and AI technologies.

Data & Operational Insights

• Develop dashboards and reports that provide insight into IAM operational performance.
• Support reporting related to audit evidence, access reviews, ticket management, and service metrics.
• Identify trends and opportunities for process optimization using operational data.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

• Partner with IAM operations teams to understand challenges and develop automation solutions.
• Create technical documentation, process guides, and knowledge articles.
• Support training and adoption efforts for newly implemented tools and capabilities.
• Present automation opportunities and outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI, Power Automate, Logic Apps, Copilot Studio, or similar automation platforms.
• Demonstrated interest in automation, software development, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, or technology operations.
• Experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or similar.
• Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, or workflow automation concepts.
• Exposure to AI assistants, chatbots, large language models (LLMs), or GenAI technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply them to real-world challenges.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or Identity and Access Management concepts.
• Exposure to ServiceNow, SailPoint, CyberArk, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Internship, coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or research involving automation, AI, analytics, or cybersecurity.
• Degree completed or in progress in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

The typical base pay range for this role is $122,000 to $166,000 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
