Our Summer Internship Program: 

Our Summer Internship Program (PLOT) offers an opportunity to gain meaningful experience in Human Resources/People & Culture while building the foundation for a successful career. During this 12-week program, you'll learn from experienced HR professionals, tackle real-world projects, and develop working knowledge of employee relations, talent management, HR operations, employee engagement, and people-focused programs that support organizational success. You'll have the opportunity to present your internship learnings directly to leadership. This is more than just an internship. It's your chance to make a real impact, build professional knowledge, and sharpen your abilities in a dynamic, results-driven environment. Successful completion of the PLOT program can also earn you a scholarship between $1,000 and $3,000. 

Role Overview: 

As a Wilbur-Ellis Human Resources/People & Culture Intern, you'll gain experience across a variety of HR functions, including employee engagement, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, HR operations, and employee programs. You'll work closely with HR team members and business leaders to support initiatives designed to enhance the employee experience and contribute to organizational success. 

Responsibilities may include assisting with employee programs and events, supporting recruiting and onboarding activities, conducting research on HR trends and best practices, analyzing workforce data, helping coordinate training and development initiatives, creating employee communications, and supporting special projects across the People & Culture organization. 

You'll have the opportunity to share your ideas, contribute innovative solutions, and provide a unique perspective while supporting meaningful projects that impact employees across the organization. At the conclusion of your internship, you'll prepare and present a final PowerPoint presentation highlighting your project work, key learnings, and overall experience. 

What You Bring to the Role: 

As an intern, we understand you may not already have extensive professional experience. We are seeking a college student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Communications, Sociology, Agriculture, Agricultural Business, or a related field with an interest in people, culture, and organizational success. 

Overall, we are looking for someone with strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; exceptional organization and attention to detail; the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively; a collaborative mindset; intellectual curiosity and a willingness to learn; a self-starter who is eager to contribute ideas; and someone who brings their full self to work each day. We want to help you grow, and we want to learn from you, too.

Compensation and Benefits: 

• In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $17.00 to $24.00 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience.
