Job Description:
Work Type: Part Time – 12 hours per week
Schedule: Typically weekdays during business hours
Join our team at Skenesborough Harbor located in Whitehall, New York , an affordable senior community providing 40 units We’re looking for a dependable Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cleaning and maintaining common areas, including vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting high-touch surfaces, and mopping
- Cleaning vacant apartments and preparing them for new residents
- Cleaning and deodorizing bathrooms and replenishing supplies
- Emptying trash and maintaining cleanliness throughout the community
- Following established cleaning schedules, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Maintaining adequate cleaning supplies and notifying management when supplies are needed
- Reporting maintenance concerns or other issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests
- Completing required training and documentation
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Knowledge of janitorial equipment and cleaning procedures
- Ability to work independently and pay attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer or tablet skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company motor vehicle requirements
