Figure is an AI Robotics company developing a general purpose humanoid. Our humanoid robot, Figure 03, is designed for commercial tasks and the home. We are based in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It's time to build.
Figure's vision is to deploy autonomous humanoids at a global scale. Our Helix team is seeking a full stack engineer who can build across Android, iOS, and web to support key AI research functions — robot data annotation, training dataset review, and on-the-floor experiment tracking. You'll own the full surface area of our research tooling, from native mobile apps used by robot operators on the floor to web interfaces used by researchers and annotators at their desks.
What You'll Do
- Design and build native Android and iOS applications for robot data annotation, dataset review, and experiment tracking in the field
- Build and maintain web interfaces that give researchers and annotators fast, reliable access to training data and experiment results
- Build fast, reliable mobile experiences for real-time and near-real-time data capture alongside live robot operation
- Integrate AI models to automate manual annotation and review tasks
- Work closely with AI researchers, robot operators, and annotators to shape new mobile-first and web-first experiences
- Ensure consistent data models and workflows across mobile and web surfaces
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of professional experience building native Android and/or iOS applications
- Proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java for Android, Swift for iOS, and React/TypeScript for web
- Experience with React Native or other cross-platform frameworks
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience integrating with data stores (Postgres, MySQL, ElasticSearch, Redis)
- Experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience building data annotation, dataset management, or field data collection tools
- Robotics or AI research tooling background
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $150,000 - $350,000 annually. The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
