Location: Boston, Lincolnshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (1-hour lunch break)
Holiday Entitlement: 31 days per annum (inclusive of public holidays)

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Boston.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental standards across our Boston operations. Working across two nearby sites, you will help drive a positive safety culture, ensure compliance with legislation and company standards, and support colleagues at all levels to maintain safe working practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety tours.
• Identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Support the development and review of health and safety policies, procedures and safe systems of work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, determining root causes and recommending improvements.
• Assist with risk assessments and implementation of control measures.
• Support delivery of health and safety training, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Produce HSE reports and analyse trends to support continuous improvement.
• Participate in Health & Safety Committee meetings and support site-wide initiatives.
• Work alongside operational teams to promote a strong safety culture.
• Support environmental and energy management programmes, including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience within a Health & Safety role in manufacturing, food production, warehousing or a similar environment.
• A recognised Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate.
• A strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Experience conducting audits, investigations and risk assessments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organisational skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
