We are looking for a Payroll & Headcount Analyst to help us manage and plan people-related costs across the group.
In this role, you will be responsible for payroll cost and headcount planning, forecasting, and analysis. You will analyse key cost drivers, monitor plan vs actual performance, and help identify deviations and potential financial risks early.
You will work closely with Finance, HR, and Payroll to make sure our people-cost data is accurate, up to date, and aligned with the budget.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a consolidated payroll and headcount budget and forecasting for the group.
- Analyse plan vs actual personnel costs, explain key variances and keep the forecast up to date.
- Model bonus schemes: calculate pools, accruals and payout scenarios, and reflect their P&L and cash impact in the plan.
- Own people-cost metrics jointly with HR (cost per hire, fully-loaded cost per FTE) and track their trend across reporting periods.
- Recommend hiring capacity and headcount limits based on the approved budget.
- Prepare and deliver monthly payroll cost and forecast reports to finance business partners and the Corporate FP&A Lead.
Requirements:
- Experience in Finance, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, or people-cost planning.
- Strong understanding of payroll cost and headcount planning.
- Experience with plan vs actual analysis and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills and experience building financial models.
- Understanding of the main components of employee cost.
- Understanding of different employment models, including employees, EOR, and B2B contractors.
- Basic understanding of payroll calculations and employer costs.
- Understanding of management accounting and the impact of people costs on P&L and cash flow.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial topics clearly.
- Ability to challenge and validate data when needed.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in fintech, brokerage, or another fast-growing international company.
- Experience working with payroll and people costs across different countries.
- Experience working with EOR providers.
- Experience using ERP or BI planning tools for budgeting and forecasting.
