Lead the public sector sales strategy in South Africa, driving revenue growth through new business, renewals and account expansion. You’ll manage and develop high-performing sales teams, build strategic partnerships and ensure commercial excellence in complex public sector environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute public sector sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Drive revenue growth through new business, renewals and account expansion.
• Lead, coach and develop Account Managers and Business Development Managers.
• Build trusted relationships with government departments, regulators and public institutions.
• Manage sales pipelines, forecasting and commercial performance.
• Oversee tenders, bid strategies and procurement compliance.
• Qualify opportunities based on funding, stakeholder alignment and commercial viability.
• Partner with internal teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Promote adoption of LexisNexis technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
• Foster accountability, ethical business practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Extensive B2B sales leadership experience with a record of delivering revenue growth.
• Experience selling into government or other complex public sector environments.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, tenders and long sales cycles.
• Experience in technology, enterprise software, legal technology or information services.
• Strong strategic planning, forecasting and pipeline management capability.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commercial acumen and a commitment to ethical business practices.
