Job Summary:

Group Strategy at HKEX is responsible for shaping, incubating and driving the delivery of key strategic initiatives across the firm. The team partners closely with internal and external stakeholders across a spectrum of initiatives, including product and platform development, market-facing initiatives, cross-exchange collaborations, and the exploration of new and complementary business opportunities.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a highly commercial and analytical candidate with a desire to contribute to the regional and global financial markets. Experience in strategy, corporate finance or exchanges is strongly preferred. Capital markets or business development experience is a plus.

Job Duties:

• Take day‑to‑day leadership of key analytical workstreams and strategic problem solving across a wide range of initiatives
• Drive strategic research on market trends, competitive dynamics, and topics relevant to HKEX’s business
• Develop strategic recommendations for senior management and the Board, ensuring high‑quality insights and clear narratives
• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to help evaluate and progress strategic initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and follow‑up across divisions
• Participate in meetings with business partners, regulators, government counterparts, and external stakeholders, supporting senior team members in preparing materials and capturing outcomes
• Support the assessment of strategic opportunities, including acquisitions, investments, partnerships, and new business initiatives, through analysis, modelling, and preparation of decision materials
• Generate new strategic ideas that support HKEX’s long‑term vision and market development
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members, providing direction, quality control, and professional development guidance
