Job Description:
The Ground Operations Delivery Consultant supports Ground Operations by driving strategic and operational initiatives that advance Safety, performance, productivity, and Company objectives. They’ll partner across Ground Operations, Technology, and enterprise Teams to align priorities, coordinate implementation efforts, and deliver transformational changes that enhance both the frontline operation and the Customer experience. They’ll support strategy, analysis, design, and execution activities while ensuring operational standards, business applications, and cross‑functional efforts align with Ground Operations goals. The Ground Operations Delivery Consultant leverages strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills to influence Stakeholders, drive meaningful change, and deliver business value across the operation.

Responsibilities
- Support programs and initiatives prioritized by Executive Leadership and Department Portfolio, including transformation initiatives, department imperatives, and operational challenges and opportunities
- Lead and/or collaborate with diverse cross-functional teams within Gr Ops, as well as various Operations and Commercial Teams, to devise holistic strategy to accomplish directed objectives
- Design strategic plans with tangible milestones and achievements, emphasizing change management, and execute implementation to the broader Gr Ops organization, compliant to Southwest standards
- Develop business insights from qualitative and quantitative information, historical data and subject matter expert feedback
- Distills complex objectives, problems and data sets into simple summaries that can be understood by a variety of audiences
- Analyze Operational and Department impacts, risks and dependencies of projects to determine a proactive approach to implementation.
- Solicit feedback and decisions throughout projects from subject matter experts and various stakeholders, both internal and external to Gr Ops
- Develop well-written presentations that are clear and convey key information, including business cases, roadmaps and other materials that support alignment efforts
- Communicate timelines, risks, and issues to multiple stakeholders both internal and external to Gr Ops regarding assigned projects and initiatives
- Grow and maintain strong partnerships with Gr Ops partner teams including, but not limited to: Business Applications, Standards, Compliance & Training and Risk Management & Safety Assurance
- Advocates and serves as representative for Gr Ops as requested in various forums and initiatives
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to use critical thinking and problem-solving techniques to address complex and ambiguous problems
- Demonstrated ability to apply logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data, draw implications and modify approach required
- Skilled in understanding and applying operational knowledge to the strategic business plan and priorities
- Skilled in synthesizing information within PowerPoint presentations and delivering them to key stakeholders
- Skilled in visualizing data to drive insights using tools such as think-cell, MS Excel, or similar
- Ability to effectively listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or verbally
- Ability to function under stress, meet deadlines, prioritize multiple/competing tasks, and work collaboratively with a team
- Ability to lead, manage, and direct resources with no formal or written authority
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Operations
- Managing all phases of cross-functional initiatives, from strategy to implementation, with an emphasis on complex business change management
- Workshop development and management, deck writing, storyboarding, inductive/deductive reasoning, interviewing
- Preferred: Experience in management consulting

- Ability to perform work duties from [limited space workstation/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must meet confidentiality expectations as to confidential, proprietary and sensitive Company information
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $$114,200.00 per year to $126,900.00 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
