Days of Work: Monday - Friday

Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Work Location: On-Site (Mankato, MN)

Starting Salary: $72,600 - $108,900

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:

Support the organization's government business operations by providing cost-related information and overseeing cost and rate audits in compliance with government regulations, primarily in the defense sector.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure accurate cost calculations and quotes for government products, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

• Regularly update and analyze the financial performance of the government segment, focusing on cost rates.

• Maintain and update cost rates essential for pricing contracts with the federal government.

• Efficiently manage Government Property, encompassing marking, physical inventory, contract compliance, and government regulatory requirements.

• Lead and oversee DCMA or DCAA audits pertaining to costs, rates, and other financial data associated with government contracts.

• Exhibit expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) regulations.

• Provide necessary support to the Controller and Government Segment leader to facilitate business interactions with the federal government.

• Collaborate with various functional departments within the organization as required.

• Assist in billing milestones and address collection issues as they arise.

Experience/Skills:

• 2-4 years of experience in accounting with a focus on cost accounting, coupled with 2-4 years of experience in government compliance.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with Oracle software is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

• Additional coursework or on-the-job training in government compliance and government property management is a plus.
