Position Summary:
This job is responsible for executing substantive money laundering, economic sanctions and fraud compliance and operational risk practices. Key responsibilities include working directly or through compliance officers for the Front Line Units (FLUs) and Control Functions (CFs) to complete compliance, policy, operational/fraud risk management requirements.


The Global Financial Crimes Surveillance Control Tower Manager drives end-to-end governance, coordination, and oversight of targeted financial crimes surveillance analyses to ensure risks are identified, communicated, and remediated in a timely and consistent manner.


Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include managing the surveillance review pipeline, establishing prioritization and quality standards, monitoring risks and deliverables, coordinating stakeholder reporting and escalation, and driving issue remediation. Job expectations include exercising significant independent judgment, providing credible challenge, ensuring transparency across the analysis lifecycle, and enabling the ongoing development and refinement of surveillance typologies and capabilities.


Additional Responsibilities include, but not limited to:


  • Drives end-to-end governance of targeted surveillance analyses, from intake and prioritization through execution, review, escalation, and closure
  • Establishes review standards, operating routines, and quality controls to promote consistent, timely, and well-documented analytical outcomes
  • Monitors the surveillance portfolio, delivery milestones, risk indicators, dependencies, and emerging concerns, escalating material risks and delays
  • Coordinates management and stakeholder reporting on analytical activity, findings, thematic trends, remediation progress, and capability enhancements
  • Provides credible challenge of analytical scope, methodology, conclusions, and recommended actions to ensure risks are appropriately identified and addressed
  • Drives remediation of identified data, process, control, and capability gaps, including ownership, action planning, dependency management, and closure validation
  • Partners with surveillance analysts, investigations, threat intelligence, sanctions, fraud, technology, data, and line-of-business risk teams to align priorities and resolve barriers
  • Uses lessons learned and portfolio insights to support development and refinement of surveillance typologies, analytical tools, and operating practices

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in financial crimes, surveillance, investigations, compliance, operational risk, data analytics, program management, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional analytical reviews, risk programs, or control tower activities from intake through remediations
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering, sanctions, fraud, financial crime typologies, surveillance practices, and applicable regulatory expectation's
  • Experience establishing governance routines, quality standards, management reporting, risk metrics, and escalation processes'
  • Ability to provide credible challenge, evaluate complex analytical conclusions, and influence decisions across senior and technical stakeholder's
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies, issues, and remediation actions in a dynamic risk environment
  • Strong executive communication and written reporting skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear risk implications and decision's
  • Desired: Experience in financial services; CAMS, PMP, or related risk, compliance, or analytics certification
