gLIMS Specialist

Location: San Jose, Costa Rica

Join Lonza's global digital quality and laboratory operations network as a gLIMS Specialist. In this role, you will help ensure the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of critical laboratory information systems that support the production of life-changing therapies worldwide. Working closely with global and site-based stakeholders, you will play a key role in maintaining data integrity, supporting validation activities, and driving operational excellence across the gLIMS (LabVantage) landscape.

What you will do:

• Execute end-to-end master data activities within gLIMS, including data creation, verification, approval, and transfer in line with established SOPs.
• Review and validate master data requests to ensure alignment with global standards and data governance requirements.
• Support KPI reporting and periodic system reviews through data extraction, analysis, and reporting activities.
• Execute validation and regression test scripts for system changes, upgrades, and enhancement projects while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Support compliance activities by managing validation records and documentation in accordance with change management procedures.
• Collaborate with Global LIMS Office (GLO), Local LIMS Office (LLO), Quality Control, and IT teams to ensure effective and compliant system operations.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate system or process issues while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and data quality monitoring.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific discipline such as Information Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience supporting LIMS, laboratory systems, QC operations, or other regulated digital environments.
• Knowledge of GMP requirements, data integrity principles, and quality system compliance within regulated industries.
• Experience with computer system validation (CSV), including test script creation and execution; LabVantage LIMS experience is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage master data accurately and consistently.
• Effective communication and customer support skills, including the ability to create training materials and support end users.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with SAP, Veeva, and/or KNEAT is beneficial. Fluent English required.
