Sobre esta vaga de FX / IR Dealer na EQT Group
EQT is looking for an experienced FX/IR Dealer to join our FX and Interest Rate hedging team in Stockholm. In this role, you will take independent ownership of day-to-day foreign exchange and interest rate trading activity, while also driving meaningful improvements to the governance and structural frameworks that underpin how EQT manages financial risk. You will work at the intersection of hands-on dealing and strategic process development, making a tangible impact on how the organisation handles its hedging operations. This is a role for someone who thrives on both technical depth and cross-functional collaboration.
About the Team
The FX and IR hedging team sits within EQT's Central Functions and is responsible for managing the firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposures across its global operations. The team works closely with internal stakeholders across finance, treasury, and investment functions, acting as a trusted centre of expertise for all matters related to currency and rate risk. You will be joining a collaborative group where technical rigour and clear communication are equally valued.
About the Role
As FX/IR you will be the primary executor of the team's trading activity, independently handling the majority of FX spot transactions while ensuring more complex deals are escalated and coordinated appropriately. Beyond day-to-day dealing, you will lead initiatives that raise the quality of governance, reporting, and operational processes across the team's FX and IR activities.
- Execute the bulk of FX spot transactions independently, ensuring timely and accurate processing while flagging more complex or high-value trades to relevant team members
- Manage and respond to incoming inquiries on FX and interest rate trades, serving as a knowledgeable first point of contact for internal stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across investment, finance, and treasury functions, providing clear and timely communication on trading activity
- Lead and contribute to projects that improve the team's governance and operational structure, including the development of fee dashboards, trade reconciliation processes, and policy and routine documentation
- Maintain and continuously improve trade logging and reporting practices to ensure accurate records and strong audit readiness
- Exercise sound judgement in identifying when situations require escalation, and communicate proactively with team members to ensure alignment
- Contribute to developing and embedding best practices across FX and IR processes, helping to shape the team's ways of working over time
About You
You are a detail-oriented and self-directed professional with proven experience in FX and interest rate trading, and you bring the judgement to operate confidently across both routine execution and more complex, project-based work. You communicate clearly, manage stakeholder relationships with ease, and take genuine ownership of the quality and reliability of your output.
What you'll bring (must-have):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in FX and interest rate trading, ideally within a corporate treasury, asset management, or financial institution setting
- Demonstrated ability to execute FX spot transactions independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of interest rate products and their application in a hedging context
- Proven project management skills, with a track record of delivering structured improvements to processes, governance, or reporting
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage clearly with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation
Nice to have:
- Experience in liquidity management, including the placement and monitoring of deposits for idle cash
- Familiarity with trade reconciliation systems or treasury management platforms
- Proficiency in Swedish or another Nordic language
- Experience working in a private equity or alternative asset management environment
- Exposure to policy writing or governance documentation within a treasury or dealing context
What We Offer
- A high-impact, autonomous role at the heart of EQT's treasury operations, where your contributions shape how the firm manages financial risk
- The opportunity to lead meaningful process improvement projects alongside hands-on dealing work, giving you broad scope to develop professionally
- A collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diverse perspectives and supports continuous learning
- Access to EQT's global network and the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals across investment and central functions
- A permanent position based in Stockholm, with the resources and environment of one of Europe's leading alternative asset managers
