We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to build modern, scalable, and intuitive user experiences for AI-native products and intelligent digital workflows.

The role is suited for a strong frontend engineer with expertise in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend architecture, combined with an interest in AI-powered product experiences. You will work on interfaces for AI assistants, copilots, intelligent search, recommendations, summarisation, and guided workflows.

The ideal candidate combines strong engineering fundamentals with product thinking and can translate complex AI capabilities into reliable, accessible, and user-friendly experiences.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and optimise scalable frontend applications for AI-native product experiences.
• Build intuitive interfaces for AI-powered workflows including copilots, assistants, intelligent search, recommendations, summarisation, and guided actions.
• Develop reusable, maintainable, and high-performance React components and frontend architectures.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST/GraphQL APIs, LLM APIs, retrieval systems, and backend services.
• Translate product requirements and Figma designs into responsive, polished, and production-ready interfaces.
• Define component architecture, API contracts, edge cases, and technical implementation approaches.
• Own frontend architecture for assigned modules and contribute to scalable application design.
• Optimise applications for performance, reliability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
• Design appropriate UX patterns for AI failure scenarios, including timeouts, low-confidence responses, hallucinations, retrieval failures, and fallback experiences.
• Implement application monitoring and instrumentation for usage, latency, user interactions, and product performance.
• Build data-rich interfaces and visualisations using libraries such as Chart.js, D3, or Highcharts.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend, AI/ML, and other engineering teams to deliver features end-to-end.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for engineering quality and development practices.
• Support application deployment, production monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous optimisation.
• Propose innovative technical solutions to complex problems and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies, AI UX patterns, conversational interfaces, and agentic application experiences.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• 4+ years of professional experience in frontend application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with modern frontend build tools such as Webpack, Rspack, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of scalable frontend architecture, component design, and application performance.
• Experience building production-grade interfaces for AI products, SaaS platforms, workflow applications, or data-rich products.
• Hands-on experience integrating frontend applications with REST/GraphQL APIs and AI services.
• Understanding of AI-specific failure modes and the ability to design appropriate frontend experiences around unreliable or uncertain AI outputs.
• Strong knowledge of accessibility, security, performance, observability, and responsive design best practices.
• Experience with data visualisation libraries such as Chart.js, D3, or Highcharts.
• Experience deploying and monitoring production React applications.
• Strong product sense with the ability to translate Figma designs into polished user experiences.
• Proficiency with Git and modern software development workflows.
• Experience with frontend test automation, preferably Playwright.
• Familiarity with analytics, experimentation, product telemetry, and measuring AI feature performance.
• Awareness of AI agents, multi-agent frameworks, guardrails, MCP integrations, and agentic UX patterns is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Docker for local development environments is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
