Weekend Frequency: Every other weekend

Food Safety and Sanitation

• Safely handles food in accordance with established FDA and MDA guidelines and practices.
• Follows daily sanitation schedule in performing assigned cleaning duties.
• Performs "clean as you go" activities and maintains high level of cleanliness in assigned work area.
• Washes dishes, utensils and equipment. Operates dish machine. Returns clean items to assigned storage areas.
• Ensures that all food is properly labeled, dated, and rotated.
• Collaborates with other areas of the department to minimize food waste.
• Maintains proper hand hygiene.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment after use.
• Other Duties as Assigned.

Patient Services

• Efficiently assembles/delivers trays for patient meal service.
• Restocks work area/unit pantries/carts to be ready for next meal period. Answers phones using proper phone etiquette.
• Assembles late trays based on patients prescribed diet orders.
• Preps cold items for patient meal service ( salads, cold plates, fruit, desserts, sandwiches).
• Works as a team with other patient services staff to ensure the timely delivery of meals to patients.

Cafe

• Dishwashing
• Cashiering and customer service
• Serving on the hot food line using safe food handling
• Maintaining cafe cleanliness and completing cleaning assignments as part of cafe closing process
• Restocking cafe stations for next meal period
