The Heavy Lifter/Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment while supporting meal service, stocking supplies, and assisting with food service operations to patients and staff at Shepherd Center.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment.
- Stock assigned areas with food, supplies, and products.
- Safely move bulk food items, deliveries, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain work areas, equipment, and storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
- Monitor and record equipment, refrigeration, and dish machine temperatures; report and document any deviations.
- Restock workstations at the end of meal service, including silverware, condiments, and supplies.
- Deliver patient trays accurately and verify patient identity before delivery.
- Actively participate in the department's sanitation program, ensuring assigned cleaning responsibilities are completed before the end of each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with team members to create an enjoyable, engaging, and customer-focused environment.
