Job Responsibilities

• Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and bid them a fond farewell upon departure.
• Ensure all guests are welcomed promptly, courteously, and professionally with eye contact and a smile.
• Engage with guests throughout the Fitness Club, including the gym area, to introduce services and facilities.
• Provide refreshments, drinks and towels as needed.
• Assist guests in connecting with Personal Trainers and wellness services.
• Respond to guest feedback and take timely, appropriate actions to enhance their experience.
• Recommend and promote Personal Training and wellness programs aligned with guest preferences.
• Follow up on bookings and arrangements on behalf of guests.
• Attend daily briefings to stay updated on Fitness Club activities and property information.
• Provide support to the Fitness Club team during peak hours and staff breaks.
• Ensure all cashiering functions are performed in accordance with MBS Hotel accounting SOP
• Maintain accurate records of guest queries, feedback, and departmental checklists.
• Maintain a clean and tidy environment in and around the Fitness Club.
• Conduct regular checks in locker rooms to ensure facilities are clean and in working condition.
• Ensure amenities, clean towels/linen are well-stocked and soiled items are cleared promptly.
• Coordinate with the Laundry Department for towel/linen collection and delivery.
• Guide guests on basic operations of cardio and strength equipment when required.
• Open and close the Fitness Club according to Operation Hours.
• Exemplify the OneMBS values and Above Beyond Mission in all interactions.
• Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor with guests and colleagues.
• Foster effective relationships with team members and other departments.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude in daily tasks.
• Continuously learn about fitness, and wellness programs to better serve guests.
• Assist with the preparation and setup of equipment required for wellness classes, ensuring all items are clean, functional, and appropriately arranged prior to each session.
• Prepare the Fitness Club for guest use, ensuring set-ups conform to the departmental standards
• Provide and conduct prescribe fitness workout programs (individual and group classes/sessions) as directed
• Maintain and upkeep by ensuring the Fitness Equipment’s and its facilities are clean, safe, in good working conditions and organized

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

• Secondary education is preferred

Experience

• Prior experience of working in a professional environment

• Prior experience in Customer Services, hospitality, tourism, or the service industry will be an added advantage

Other Prerequisites

• Possess a refined and strong command of spoken and written English to communicate with our guest

• Always ensure a high standard of personal grooming and professional appearance

• Highly energetic and engaging individual with strong customer service and interpersonal skills

• Exceptional guest relations and communication skills

• High attention to details

• Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast paced and luxury environment

• A team player and takes initiative to assist other Team Members when required

• Have faultless follow-through; and “Can Do” attitude and mindset

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Outlook software’s

• Basic Cashiering and POS knowledge/experiences are preferred but not mandatory

• Be willing to work shifts including Public Holidays and Weekends
