For our Pune, India site, we are looking for a Firewall Manager to join our Cyber- & Information Security Office and bring firewall assurance capabilities in-house.

As a Firewall Manager, you will protect Envalior’s global IT and OT environments by ensuring firewall services are securely designed, governed, and operated. By bringing firewall assurance capabilities in-house, you strengthen internal expertise, improve service quality and responsiveness, reduce dependency on external providers, and increase cost efficiency, enabling secure business growth, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience.

Your responsibilities

• Improve cyber hygiene and risk management through centralized firewall assurance.
• Review and assess firewall change requests, and configure Firewall Assurance and onboarding of firewalls.
• Detect access policy violations, rule conflicts and misconfigurations, and conduct rule usage analysis to optimize rules.
• Improve cyber hygiene tasks, including logging, configuration and change tracking, and support Security Zone and segment design (e.g. DMZ) according to Zero Trust principles.
• Manage the rule-base on firewalls and access restrictions towards the internet.
• Provide access for third parties via secure tunnels (e.g. VPN), applying Zero Trust principles to each request and implementation.
• Authorize firewall rule requests based on Envalior’s security policy and guidelines.
• Divide connectivity requests into change requests/tasks for the different suppliers implementing them, covering cloud and on-site firewalls (rules and objects), cloud security groups, cloud/API gateways, and servers and firewalls.
• Execute assurance checks to identify unauthorized firewall rules and actively follow up on findings.
• Implement version control of firewall policies and configurations.
• Work closely with global IT, OT, infrastructure and cybersecurity teams, as well as external vendors and service providers, to maintain and continuously improve firewall services and security controls.

Requirements

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Academic degree in IT or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in network/firewall security or cybersecurity.
• Hands-on knowledge of firewall rule-base management, access control and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience with cloud and on-premise firewall environments, security groups and API gateways.
• Comfortable coordinating multiple suppliers and stakeholders across a complex, global environment.
• A structured, security-first mindset, with strong attention to detail and documentation.
