• Safety planning- Risk assessment and effective safety strategies.
• Assigns/monitors work assignments and provides training in life safety, First aid, etc…
• Control access to buildings and monitor activities.
• Manages safety scheduling and approval of contract invoices.
• Obtain copies of each safety personnel of the vendor, and periodically audit the contractor for ongoing compliance.
• Maintenance of ongoing communications with GM, AGM, all concerned team members, and other building-related services staff.
• Monitors building operations.
• Establishes inspection tours of the property, focusing on stairwells, elevators, and all areas of ingress/egress.
• Gains/maintains proficiency with building life safety systems.
• Maintains and updates safety policies and procedures manual.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all current building, fire, and life safety code requirements.
• Assists in emergencies (i.e. Fire, evacuations human crises, etc.)
• Communicates with AGM regarding events, incidents, recommendations, staffing needs, etc.)
• Review safety measures and monitor performance.
• Co-develops with the management staff operating guidelines and practices.
• Establishes and updates site-specific safety procedures and crime deterrent programs.
