Job Overview: Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager, the IRC seeks a Financial Capabilities Coordinator to support the development and implementation of career pathways services in its Economic Empowerment program for refugees and other immigrants in Tucson. This position is responsible for assisting clients in developing plans that help them reach their goals and achieve financial stability, and for ensuring IRC achieves program targets relating to enrollment, economic empowerment outcomes, and connection to community benefits and resources. The Coordinator is to tangibly connect working clients on their journey to a higher paying job to resources and certifications. It is expected to focus services in a one-on-one career counseling format in tandem with conducting classes and workshops on topics such as budgeting, credit building, banking, and financial products. 

Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to:

Client Services:

• Assist clients in assessing and resolving current financial challenges, while providing a wide lens on their financial health to shift the approach to proactive financial management
• Administer intake and assessment for enrolled participants and co-develop an Individualized Career Development Plan (ICDP) with each participant to guide training, employment, and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate case-managed wraparound supports, including interpretation, transportation and childcare stipends, work supplies, and emergency assistance, tied to each participant's documented barriers and ICDP.
• Connect participants to local occupational training, apprenticeships, or certification programs, and to employer partners for job upgrades or career-related employment.
• Conduct 6- and 12-month follow-up with participants and, when applicable, their employers to assess job retention, wages, advancement, job quality, benefits, and household financial stability.
• Ensure that changes (new job, new benefit, and change in credit score) are properly documented in relevant systems.
• Capture client success stories
• Develop workshop materials or tailor existing materials to meet the needs of the community. Workshop topics may include the following: budgeting, savings, banking products, credit building, and identity theft.

Program Coordination:

• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency.
• Ensure that information required for program eligibility for all career programs and reporting purposes is collected and that accurate records are maintained, including case files and client data entry.
• Work as part of a team to provide comprehensive strength-based services to IRC clients through coordination of cases and effective communication between team members and departments.
• Design, implement, and provide monitoring and evaluation oversight for career and industry-specific programming;
• Train, and supervise interns and volunteers providing career support services to clients enrolled in career programs;
• Participate in IRC network-wide initiatives to understand and share best-practices relating to career pathways programming;
• Build and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, career service providers, and small business and corporate entities for advanced career opportunities;
• Coordinate corporate and employer engagement opportunities and events.
• Participate in program meetings and staff development activities.
• Coordinate quality assurance efforts by conducting periodic case file and electronic data reviews.
• Produce high-quality program reports for IRC headquarters and funders and ensure programs fulfill funder and agency requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

• 2+ years of related professional experience in financial capabilities and/or career development
• Experience in a non-profit setting and/or financial coaching services a plus
• Experience working in a diverse, and non-traditional setting with diverse staff and client base
• Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications
• Exceptional organizational skills with proven attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member in a multi-cultural environment. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written; bilingual ability preferred. Preferably in Spanish, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, or Dari.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Working Environment: 

• A combination of standard office environment and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the outlined responsibilities, primarily at the IRC offices in Tucson and the City of Tucson Freedom Center.
• May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: (Pay Rate: $26.78/hr). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget.  Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
