Position: RMA/Field Service Technician
Location: Austin, TX (on-site/Hybrid)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team and provide exceptional technical support to our customers. In this role, you will be responsible for performing installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Infinitum's Integrated Motor & VFD products at customer sites. You will also be responsible for documenting your work, providing technical feedback to internal teams, and developing relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and commission Infinitum's integrated motor and VFD products at customer sites
• Conduct on-site troubleshooting and testing of Infinitum's integrated motor and VFD
• Conduct on-site repairs to minimize customer downtime
• Provide technical feedback to internal teams, including sales, product management, operations, and engineering
• Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure their satisfaction
• Document all troubleshooting and repair activities
• Provide detailed service reports that support department metrics
Qualifications and Skills:
• 3 - 5 years of experience commissioning and troubleshooting electrical circuits, 3 phase motors, EC motors, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) in a Field Service environment.
• 3 - 5 years of experience troubleshooting HVAC-related controls (Carel, Automated Logic, PLCs, etc.) and communication protocols (Modbus RTU, BACnet, RS-485, Ethernet TCP/IP, etc.)
• Basic understanding of relevant electrical, motor, and VFD industry standards including UL, NEC, and NFPA 70E
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 75% of the time, primarily in the US and occasionally in Canada
• Ability to work in hot/non-climate-controlled environments
• Proficiency in all safety standards such as LOTO, PPE, Fall Protection, etc.
• Ability to work off ladders, man lifts, scissor lifts, etc on job sites
