Company Operating Rhythm
At Deepgram, we expect an AI-first mindset—AI use and comfort aren’t optional, they’re core to how we operate, innovate, and measure performance.
Every team member who works at Deepgram is expected to actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, and even build your own into your everyday work. We measure how effectively AI is applied to deliver results, and consistent, creative use of the latest AI capabilities is key to success here. Candidates should be comfortable adopting new models and modes quickly, integrating AI into their workflows, and continuously pushing the boundaries of what these technologies can do.
Additionally, we move at the pace of AI. Change is rapid, and you can expect your day-to-day work to evolve just as quickly. This may not be the right role if you’re not excited to experiment, adapt, think on your feet, and learn constantly, or if you’re seeking something highly prescriptive with a traditional 9-to-5.
Team Overview
Deepgram recently opened its APAC headquarters in Singapore, and the region is one of our fastest-moving markets. You’ll build the APAC marketing function from zero, partnering closely with the APAC GM and regional sales leadership to shape and execute the regional plan. As part of the global Events & Field Marketing team, you’ll get the playbooks, brand assets, budget framework and coaching to help you move fast.
Your job is to make Deepgram visible and credible across the region through technical community and partner motions, and to turn that presence into pipeline. As the senior marketer in region, you're also marketing's local point of contact: you'll work with our APAC PR agency and partner with global Brand, Web, and Product Marketing to keep regional messaging local and consistent.
Key Goals
Ship an APAC field and events plan and budget, agreed with regional sales leadership, with reserve held for in-quarter opportunities
Launch a recurring technical community program out of Singapore, India, and Australia, with steady attendance from developers, builders and customers
Stand up repeatable joint field programs with cloud, technology, and channel partners, each with shared pipeline goals and tracking
Grow program-sourced and program-influenced pipeline and new logos across APAC
Localize global "event-in-a-box" kits for priority markets and follow up with every lead fast
Put a live APAC customer proof library (stories, case studies, references) into active use by sales aligned to global Marketing Team.
Work with global Brand Team to properly represent APAC on the website: a regional landing page, local customer logos, case studies, proof points, product news and team presence.
Deliver executive roundtables, customer dinners, and sponsorships, on time and on budget, reporting spend, attendance, and pipeline against plan
Minimum Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities
Plans and runs field and event programs end to end, from small executive dinners to large sponsorships, on time and on budget
Builds community technical audiences choose to attend: hands-on content, credible speakers, and real builders in the room
Designs partner marketing motions (joint programs, co-marketing, co-sell) with shared goals and measurable pipeline
Partners with sales to tie every program in the quarterly plan to pipeline
Adapts global playbooks to local markets across language, culture, format, and buyer expectations, and knows the APAC vendor landscape
Operates AI-native: designs Human+AI workflows for planning, logistics, follow-up, and reporting, and builds systems that eliminate recurring event work instead of redoing it each time
Works self-directed as the first in region, across time zones with a US-based team; travels across the region regularly (roughly 30-40%)
Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-have, not required)
Typically ~3–6 years in field or event marketing covering APAC, or equivalent demonstrated experience
Background in B2B SaaS, developer-focused, or AI/infrastructure marketing
Co-marketing experience with technical partners
Experience working with PR agencies or supporting regional communications
Professional proficiency in an additional regional language (e.g., Bahasa, Mandarin)
