We are looking for a Software Developer-II to focus on our Invoice Simple brand. This role is on our Core team, which enables freelancers and contractors to invoice their customers easily and get paid on time. Our products help hundreds of thousands of small businesses save time, stay organized and look professional.
Invoice Simple is the leading invoice app, and still growing rapidly. Over the years we’ve supported hundreds of thousands of delighted customers using our highly rated iOS and Android apps and our website. Invoice Simple is the simplest way to invoice customers, and one of the fastest growing EverCommerce brands. Our customers are contractors, freelancers, owner-operators, creatives, and other small business owners. We help them save time, stay organized and look professional. We provide the tools for a diverse group of hundreds of thousands of small businesses and solopreneurs around the world to run the business they want on their own terms.
We use TypeScript across our stack, building with React Native for mobile and React for web. We have strong expertise in both Android and iOS platforms. Our backend services are written in TypeScript on Node.js, with MongoDB and PostgreSQL as our primary data stores.

We are looking for a motivated Software Developer-II with 3+ years of experience and a strong foundation in programming and a desire to grow and learn within a collaborative team. You will support the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions, working closely with experienced developers who will provide guidance and mentorship.
You're eager to adopt and learn the best engineering practices for developing, monitoring, and maintaining software. With a curiosity for solving technical problems, you bring a willingness to tackle new challenges and expand your skill set. You're a strong communicator who can collaborate well with team members and stakeholders, adapting your approach as needed and learning to address technical matters effectively with support from senior engineers.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members and contribute to technical discussions, learning from senior developers to build your skills.
Work with engineering and product stakeholders to understand the product roadmap and contribute to feature development.
Participate in software development activities, including implementing, testing, and shipping code under the guidance of senior team members.
Support product refinement sessions, aiming to deliver high-quality, scalable software that meets both customer and business needs.
Contribute to creating maintainable solutions by following good design practices, adhering to engineering standards, and striving for quality.
Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:
3+ years of professional software development experience
Familiarity with React and/or React Native frameworks and a basic understanding of the Node.js ecosystem.
Hands-on experience building mobile applications, preferably for iOS or Android, using the Typescript/React Native stack.
Basic knowledge of mobile app development from ideation to publishing.
Exposure to tools like Firebase, push notifications, and familiarity with basic SQL queries.
Comfortable using version control systems, such as Git and GitHub.
Curious, data-driven, and willing to ask questions to grow and learn.
Foundational knowledge of data structures and software design principles.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Where:
The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in Canada – if you are close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation:
EverCommerce is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $105,000 - $115,000 CAD Per Year. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all distinct labor markets in the US. EverCommerce considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, candidate’s work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
