Job Description

Purpose of the role

To generate revenue and promote the bank's diverse product and service offerings to various customer segments. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification of potential customers, analysing their needs and preferences, and staying abreast of emerging market trends and competitor strategies.
  • Creation of detailed profiles for target customer segments, outlining their demographics, financial habits, and pain points to tailor sales approaches and product recommendations.
  • Relationship management of potential and existing customer relations through the execution of high-quality customer support, by responding to queries and resolving issues, gaining their customer trust, and understanding their financial goals and challenges.
  • Understanding of the features, benefits, risks, and compliance requirements of various banking products and services offered. Understanding of the key features, benefits, risks, enhancements, and regulatory requirements of new and existing banking products, and communicate insights clearly to potential customers to address their financial needs.
  • Development of compelling sales pitches and proposals that showcase the value proposition of the bank's offerings to convert leads into customers, and negotiation of terms that are beneficial for both the client and the bank.
  • Collection and analysis of customer feedback on various products, services, and overall experience, to support the development of reports that communicate key findings to relevant stakeholders, to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Monitoring of lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and other relevant metrics to assess sales performance and identify areas for improvement.

Join us as a Europe Issuing Sales Analyst within global transaction banking, where you will support a team of five Card Issuing Sales colleagues across Europe in the origination, development, and management of client opportunities across card issuing and, over time, wider cash management. Working in close partnership with Sales, Coverage, Product, Servicing, Operations, Pricing and Finance, you will provide analytical, commercial and execution support to help progress client discussions, maintain sales discipline and contribute to the delivery of revenue objectives.

This role will be based in Amsterdam and will support sales activity across core European markets. You will play an important role in ensuring client and product follow-ups are managed effectively, pricing and rebate reviews are completed with appropriate rigour, and the Sales team is equipped with relevant market, industry, and scheme insight to support high-quality client engagement. You will be a key member of the European Card Issuing Sales team, bringing strong analytical capability, commercial awareness, and disciplined execution. This is an opportunity to build expertise in payments, card schemes, cash management, and client-led solutions while supporting the growth of a strategic European issuing business.

Responsibilities of the role:

Sales Team & Client Support

  • Supporting five Sales colleagues with client preparation, follow-up actions, pipeline tracking, and internal coordination.
  • Coordinating client and product follow-ups, ensuring actions are captured, ownership is clear and progress is tracked in a timely manner.
  • Preparing client materials, meeting packs, opportunity summaries, and internal updates to support effective sales engagement.
  • Maintaining awareness of client needs, sales priorities, and product developments to help the team progress opportunities efficiently.

Sales and Commercial Strategy

  • Supporting sales forecasting, account planning, pipeline management, and revenue tracking across the supported portfolio.
  • Undertaking pricing analysis, commercial modelling, rebate reviews, and profitability assessments in line with sales and product objectives.
  • Monitoring KPIs, client performance and commercial trends to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for further sales focus.
  • Providing data-driven insight to support prioritisation, improve sales execution and inform commercial decision-making.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Working closely with Sales, Coverage, Product, Operations, Finance, Legal and
  • Compliance colleagues to support the resolution of client and product queries.
  • Partnering with Visa and Mastercard to support the development of sales materials,
  • Scheme insight, market updates, and client-facing content.
  • Coordinating internal inputs for client proposals, pricing discussions, product updates and
  • Strategic account reviews.

Market Insight

  • Conducting market and industry analysis across payments, card issuing, fintech, cash
  • management and working capital trends.
  • Tracking competitor activity, regulatory developments, scheme initiatives, and client trends
  • relevant to the sales strategy.
  • Translating market insight into concise briefing notes, sales enablement content and
  • Provide practical recommendations for the Sales team.

To be successful as a GTB Europe Issuing Sales Analyst, you will need:

  • Experience in sales support, commercial analysis, product management, transaction banking, payments, or card issuing.
  • Knowledge of card issuing and cash management, including commercial cards, working capital solutions, payment flows, and card scheme dynamics.
  • The ability to analyse client, revenue, pricing, rebate, and market data to generate commercial insights and support decision-making.
  • Experience creating high-quality sales materials, presentations, briefing notes, and commercial summaries for internal and client-facing audiences.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, and AI-enabled tools to support data-driven decision-making and commercial activities.
  • A structured, proactive, and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.

  • Dutch language skills desirable for Amsterdam-based roles. Additional European languages are advantageous.
  • Applying a structured and organised approach to managing multiple client, product, and stakeholder priorities.
  • Using data and commercial insight to inform recommendations and support decision-making.
  • Communicating clearly and confidently with a range of stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Showing initiative, energy and a client-focused mindset while supporting broader sales and business development activities.

This role is deemed as a Controlled Function role under the Central Bank of Ireland Fitness and Probity Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

Minimum Salary: €65,000

The minimum salary information above includes only annual full-time equivalent base salary and typically represents the lowest level of pay for this role. The actual pay rate will reflect the responsibility level of the role and experience level of the individual. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
