About this Role

• Carrier is looking for software, electrical, mechanical, systems, and other engineering majors with demonstrated leadership ability and strong academic performance to join our competitive Carrier Engineering Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP offers new graduates an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through three eight-month rotations across various Carrier business units.
• ELP rotation locations will be in China Shanghai or Hangzhou or Foshan.
• Candidates selected for the program will receive front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch their capabilities and accelerate their professional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, the program includes high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.
• Aero design of centrifugal compressor, CFD simulation/analysis, performance test and data release.  Technical support for current products

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in projects feasibility and risk analysis, make sure each project can go forward as planned.
• Conducting 1D aero design and CFD analysis of refrigerant compressors.  Compressor stage optimization of peak efficiency and stall margin. Need to generate innovative concepts and methods for aero development.
• Prepare aero test plan, carry out test and analyze aero test data. Release compressor aero EDR and ensure the accuracy of E-cat.
• Technically support to the supplier on component manufacturing. Aero parts drawing check and made engineering requirement.
• Analyze compressor problems and improve the product. Learn to properly use CE tool.
• Other work items arranged by supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree with majoring in turbomachinery, fluid machinery, fluid dynamics, compressor, refrigeration, mechanical and related.
• Strong academic performance, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, with 3.2 preferred students
• Must be geographically mobile and have the ability to relocate for rotations.
• To be eligible for the program, you must be a 2026-2027 graduate of the degree in the relevant field and start in the Leadership Program July 2027

• Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Demonstrated technical understanding and skills.
• Excellent communication, inter-discipline skills

• Turbomachinery aero design background. Strong CFD fundamental knowledge and communication skills are required. Refrigerant or air conditioning knowledge is highly desired.
• Fluent with compressor CFD process and requirement.
• Fluent with mechanical design process and refrigeration compressor and safety standard.
• Can use English for technical communication.
