Job Summary
This role participates in a 12-month Analytics Consulting Program in the health care payer space. Participants gain hands-on experience supporting analytics and strategic projects across multiple lines of business and functional areas.What Are Your Responsibilities?
- Produce datasets and reports for analysis using enterprise reporting tools.
- Perform research and assist in analyzing financial and health care information.
- Analyze business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources.
- Identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets.
- Provide insights to decision-makers.
- Construct forecasts, recommendations and strategic or tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
- Create specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and available data elements.
- Build dashboards and data visualizations.
- Translate complex analysis into clear business recommendations.

What Are the Requirements You Must Meet?
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree in health information management, public health, health care administration, epidemiology, industrial engineering, data science, statistics, business administration or a related analytical field. Other degrees may be considered.
- Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. We are not offering this program under OPT or CPT or sponsoring work visas for these roles.
- Experience working in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Ability to think analytically using a logical, systematic and sequential approach.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using standard procedures.
- Ability to operate with guidance and direction.
- Research and information-evaluation skills.
- Attention to detail, organization and effective management of time and resources.
- Ability to balance the needs of the team with those of the broader organization.
What Do You Need to Be Successful?
- Preferred: knowledge of or experience with Teradata SQL and Tableau.
- Preferred: experience with Python, R, Alteryx or other data-processing tools.
- Preferred: internship or project-based experience in analytics, business intelligence or data reporting.
- Preferred: health care or health insurance analytics experience.
What Does the New Grad Program Entail?
- Participants hired into the Analytics Consulting Program also participate in HCSC’s enterprise New Grad experience, which complements role-specific development during their first year.
- Formal New Employee Orientation to build business and industry acumen.
- A six-month enterprise development experience designed to support the transition from school to the workplace.
- Professional development focused on communication, relationship building, navigating workplace challenges, critical thinking and career growth.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.
This position may be performed remotely from anywhere within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Base Pay Range
$52,200.00 - $94,600.00Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
