About the role:

The Car Park Duty Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the fleet management, including the coaching of employees to ensure that the Customer Service delivery is adhered to, the managing of team members and the flow of vehicles in the car park. Finally, the Duty Manager ensures continual improvement across all areas of operations in the carpark.

The Duty Manager performs duties and provides services which reflect the Company’s values. Essential duties and responsibilities, shown below, will vary accordingly based on the location, team size, brand and any specialised or specific requirements.

Key duties and responsibilities would include:

• Lead and manage the team on shift to ensure operational requirements are met
• Ensure that the right fleet (number and category) is available to meet bookings
• Ensure utilisation targets are achieved by managing the maintenance and repair of fleet
• Ensure clean, safe and well-maintained vehicles and accessories are available for bookings
• Ensure additional clean, safe and well-maintained vehicles are available for walk up customers
• Ensure that ABG’s incident and accident damage procedures are followed.
• Complete necessary reports as required
• Provide leadership, feedback and coaching to achieve a good morale and teamwork within the car park area.
• Forecast staff needs according to rental volumes, annual and sick leave requests
• Ensure and maintain sufficient resources to meet operational needs
• Having an awareness and thorough working knowledge of current rates, operational policies and procedures and assist in maintaining team member awareness and compliance
• Ensuring security of company assets is maintained in accordance with policy requirements.
• Ensure physical ready line is checked minimum 3 times per day.
• Conduct regular huddles with staff to communicate shift requirements
• Satisfying Net Promoter Score (NPS) targets set by location
• Conducting work in a safe manner, complying with Workplace Health & Safety, & Environmental policies, procedures and being familiar with emergency evacuation procedures to eliminate or minimise workplace health and safety risks.
• Adhering to Company Service Standards and Uniform Guidelines and conducting audits as required
• Working efficiently and effectively in a team environment to maintain a culture of service excellence and accomplishing organisational goals under limited supervision
• Manage and monitor maintenance of Company office equipment
• Driving vehicles as required.
• If required support customers with baby seat installations and removal of excess seat.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience in supervisory or leadership role with sound coaching and mentoring skills
• Demonstrated understanding and use of Customer Service and Sales techniques and processes
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety
• Full working right in Australia
• A Full Drivers’ license is required and the flexibility to work to a rotating roster
