Summary:

The Dosimetrist develops patient radiation treatment plans in collaboration with the Radiation Oncologist and the Medical Physicist, as well as assists with the radiation therapy treatment simulation and delivery.

Responsibilities:

Assists with or performs quality assurance of radiation treatment plans.Assists with or performs the fabrication of beam modifying devices and immobilization devices.Designs a treatment plan to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and fields to a defined tumor volume.

Additional Job Information:

Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Two (2) years of experience as a Radiation Therapist with dosimetry training or graduate from a Medical Dosimetry Program.
