Role Description
Documentary Trade Analyst is responsible for the processing of requests and documents received by the bank under a Letter of Credit or Documentary Collection or Guarantee/Standby Letter of Credit. Work includes.
Managing and planning the import process by processing customs documentation
Vetting Guarantee/Standby Letters of Credit
Controlling all documentation related to export and import bills
Capturing data from related documents and inputting it into the trade finance processing platform
Mitigating operation and regulatory risks

Your key responsibilities
Centralized Trade Finance Operations (FEMA checks) for IPB clients – covering Imports, Exports, Bank Guarantees, LC and current and future Financing products.
Responsible for day-to-day transactions and their delivery within pre-defined TAT.
Having good knowledge of RBI Guidelines (Import & Exports), UCP600, URC522, ISPB98, URR725, INCOTERM2020 etc.
Ensure that transaction processing in compliance with Regulatory and Bank's policies and procedures and standards.
Allocation of work to the team and tracking of completion of the same.
Handling of Export finance i.e., Packing Credit and Post shipment finance procedures.
To resolve queries with regards to trade transactions.
Ensure timely closures of regulatory mandates like EDPMS/IDPMS closure, tracking Merchanting Trade Transactions.
Act as co-ordinator with Branch and Delivery Hub to ensure smooth and timely processing of Trade transactions for IPB Clients.
Support Audit, regulatory process in co-ordination with central regulatory team.
Devising MIS / analysis for Business to improvise TAT and process automation.
Maintenance of transaction records, Customer pricing and Bank masters in trade system.
Conducting training for new joiners and regular updates to team with regards to changes in process or guidelines.
Your skills and experience
Should have 5+ Years relevant experience.
Good communication skills.
Good command over MS Office and typing skills.
Sound knowledge in Trade Operations and Systems.
Familiar with AML, Red flag, Sanction related terms and guidelines.
Ready to accept the change and challenges.
A good team player who can collaborate with team members and ensure seamless processing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills on transaction and system processing.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
