The Director, Strategic Finance will be a senior thought partner to leaders across Millennium, translating complex financial, medical claims, clinical, and operational data into decisions that drive growth and performance. The role will evaluate strategic investments, strengthen forecasting and decision support, improve the economics of value-based care, and help leaders understand where to allocate resources for the greatest impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who combines rigorous financial analysis with an operator mindset and enjoys moving from insight to action.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·    Serve as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders across finance, operations, clinical, network, and growth teams, bringing a fact-based financial perspective to key business decisions.

·    Build and own driver-based financial models for growth initiatives, market expansion, physician partnerships, service-line opportunities, care programs, and other strategic investments; frame returns, risks, sensitivities, and trade-offs.

·    Analyze performance across markets, practices, providers, service lines, and patient populations by connecting P&L, claims, utilization, quality, and operational data to explain trends and identify opportunities.

·    Support value-based and risk-based arrangements by evaluating medical cost trends, utilization, quality performance, risk adjustment, shared savings, capitation assumptions, benchmarks, and contract economics.

·    Lead business-case development and post-investment tracking, including ROI, cost-benefit, scenario, and variance analysis, to ensure initiatives translate into measurable results.

·    Support annual planning, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning; improve the quality of assumptions, driver visibility, and accountability across the organization.

·    Partner with clinical, care management, network, and operations teams to identify, size, prioritize, and track opportunities that improve performance and reduce avoidable utilization and total cost of care.

·    Translate complex analysis into concise, executive-ready insights and recommendations for senior leadership, provider-facing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

·    Develop scalable reporting, KPI frameworks, and decision-support tools that increase transparency, accelerate decision-making, and strengthen financial discipline as the organization grows.

QUALIFICATIONS

·    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.

·    7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, healthcare finance/analytics, or a similarly rigorous analytical role.

·    Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including the ability to build driver-based forecasts, investment cases, scenarios, and executive-level decision support from imperfect or complex data.

·    Advanced Excel proficiency. Experience with SQL/Databricks and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is helpful but not required for the right finance leader.

·    Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into clear business recommendations, communicate with senior executives, and influence cross-functional teams without relying on formal authority.

·    High ownership, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve and the finance team is expected to help shape the answer - not simply report the result.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

·    Experience in physician organizations, MSOs/IPAs, health plans, risk-bearing entities, or other value-based care models, with a strong understanding of utilization, medical cost, capitation, and total cost of care.

·    A track record of pairing financial rigor with commercial and operating judgment - and of staying close enough to execution to understand whether the expected value is actually being realized.

·    Experience supporting multi-site growth, market expansion, partnerships, acquisitions/integrations, or other scaled healthcare delivery initiatives.

·    The range to move comfortably from detailed analysis to an executive narrative: you can interrogate a model, challenge assumptions, and then explain the answer simply and persuasively.

Compensation Range:

$131,243.00

to

$196,865.00

 

The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, geographic location, internal equity, and business needs.
