The Role

The CMC Director, Product Owner leads product lifecycle management, value chain, launch planning and supply chain operations oversight for mFLUSIVA, mCOMBRIAX and mRESVIA. The role connects global portfolio and supply strategies with country execution, ensuring launches and lifecycle changes are delivered in a coordinated, compliant and supply-ready manner while maintaining reliable day-to-day performance.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our Global Supply Chain (GSC) strategy is aligned with the company’s ambitions of delivering innovative mRNA medicines to the market. You will serve as the leader of the Product team and lead an integrated team responsible for planning, launching, and managing the life cycle of various products. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain processes, collaboration across CMC functions, an enterprise collaboration mindset and a deep commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

As Product Owner, you are accountable for post-launch product lifecycle leadership, integrating CMC commercialization, value stream performance, lifecycle risk and KPI management, global expansion, variations, manufacturing network resilience, and end-to-end supply readiness across the commercial lifecycle.

Here’s What You’ll Do

• Own the integrated product lifecycle and commercialization agenda across markets, indications, presentations, launches, regulatory changes, transfers, variations and discontinuations, translating global portfolio and commercial strategies into clear requirements, milestones, dependencies, decisions and accountable owners.

• Establish and lead cross-functional lifecycle and launch governance across CMC, including stage gates, readiness criteria, Commit-to-File/Commit-to-Launch processes, launch coordination and integration into long-range planning, IBP, Product Phase S&OP/S&OE and country operating plans.

• Lead CMC commercialization strategy and readiness, translating market and patient/customer needs into product configurations, SKU strategy, launch sequencing, delivery models and executable cross-functional plans.

• Own the end-to-end product value chain strategy and roadmap, including value-stream maps, current and target conditions, performance metrics, improvement priorities, and physical, information/document and financial flows.

• Drive product supply-chain and manufacturing network strategy and resilience, including network footprint, multi-site manufacturing and packaging configurations, capacity flexibility, intercompany/product-ownership flows, tax/tariff considerations and disruption/scenario readiness.

• Integrate clinical and commercial supply planning across the product lifecycle, ensuring demand visibility, inventory strategy, planning and master-data readiness, reliable supply-chain operations, and effective transition from launch to steady-state commercial supply.

• Own post-launch product performance and risk management, including the product risk register, success metrics/KPIs, mitigation plans, performance gaps and escalation of key risks and decisions through appropriate leadership forums.

• Lead post-launch CMC regulatory lifecycle and variation management (Including ASU for 1010 & 1083), including RTQs, global expansion readiness, market commitments and health authority responses, partnering with the Variation Office and functional teams and applying the agreed Product Lead/Product Owner ownership model.

• Own commercial product image and lifecycle readiness, coordinating global and local artwork, labeling and packaging configurations, manufacturing-site implementation, change control, serialization/traceability, master data and supply readiness.

• Act as the CMC/Product Team leader and representative in enterprise forums, driving cross-functional decision-making, governance, financial planning and alignment across CMC, Commercial, Regulatory and Supply Chain.

• Lead communication and coordination of major product lifecycle activities, including launches, tech transfers, network changes and other cross-functional product initiatives, ensuring clear ownership, dependencies and timely execution.

• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement, using lifecycle learnings, data, benchmarking and value-stream performance to establish reusable standards and improve product and supply-chain performance.

• Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications)

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Life Sciences, and/or Engineering)

• Experience: 12+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a focus on Supply Chain, CMC Program Management, Value Chain Leadership, or similar roles. Experience in CMC commercialization and an understanding of value creation within the biopharmaceutical industry.

The salary range for this role is $167,000.00 - $300,700.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An individual’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, other incentive compensation, or equity award, subject to company plan eligibility criteria and individual performance.
