General Department Description

Global Transaction Banking Division Americas provides transaction banking solutions across payments and collections, cash and liquidity management, trade finance, supply chain finance, commercial card, receivables finance, and related treasury capabilities. The division serves corporate clients across the Americas and works closely with Coverage, Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Mizuho’s global network.

Summary

The Director serves as the check issuance and receivables product specialist for Global Transaction Banking Division Americas, covering Check Positive Pay, check image services, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox, Controlled Disbursement, and Print & Mail services. The role manages the assigned product roadmap and lifecycle, advises clients and internal stakeholders on capabilities and operating requirements, and coordinates enhancements, implementation, issue resolution, documentation, fraud-risk controls, and service improvement across Product, Sales, Operations, Technology, Implementation, Risk, Compliance, and Legal.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Check and Receivables Product Management: Manage Check Positive Pay, image services, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox, Controlled Disbursement, Print & Mail, and related issuance, deposit, fraud-prevention, and receivables capabilities.
• Roadmap and Delivery: Maintain product plans and coordinate requirements, testing, implementation, production support, client onboarding, issue resolution, and lifecycle activity with relevant partners.
• Client and Stakeholder Advisory: Advise clients and internal partners on check and receivables capabilities, treasury workflows, operating processes, industry practice, and solution alternatives.
• Risk and Controls: Support fraud-risk and operational-control assessments, regulatory and industry change reviews, product agreements, audits, remediation, and adherence to established processing controls.
• Operational Excellence: Analyze transaction flows and service issues, identify automation and process improvements, and maintain clear procedures, issue logs, impact assessments, and management reporting.
• Strategic Contribution: Lead assigned product enhancements and strategic transformation initiatives, share expertise through training, and escalate dependencies that may affect client, control, or delivery outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant education required.
• Professional Experience: Eight or more years of relevant experience in cash management, payments, treasury services, transaction banking, product management, or related financial services, including substantial experience with check and receivables products.
• Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Check Positive Pay, check-image services, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox, Controlled Disbursement, Print & Mail, check issuance and deposit, fraud-prevention controls, receivables capabilities, and related operating processes.
• Delivery and Controls: Demonstrated experience with product roadmaps, business requirements, testing, implementation, production support, documentation, risk assessments, audits, remediation, and service improvement.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, communication, stakeholder-management, problem-solving, and execution skills.
• Language: English required. Japanese is preferred.
• Travel: Ability to travel as required based on client, business, and stakeholder needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a global bank and multicultural environment; CTP, AAP, or a similar treasury or payments certification; and experience modernizing check, fraud-prevention, or receivables capabilities.

Work Location

In-office presence is an essential function of this role, and this role requires work from the office five days per week. Remote work may be used on an as-needed and ad hoc basis in accordance with applicable Banking policies.

The expected base salary ranges from $140,000 - $190,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
