Position Description
Vantage is seeking a strategic, commercially minded and results-oriented Director, Finance & Accounting to lead the accounting, reporting, compliance, audit and treasury functions across APAC. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, maintaining a robust control environment, driving finance transformation initiatives, and partnering with business leaders to support the continued growth of Vantage's APAC portfolio.
The Director will oversee regional accounting and reporting activities, statutory compliance, treasury operations, financing initiatives, M&A integration, and business process optimization. The role requires strong leadership capabilities to build and develop a high-performing finance organization while serving as a trusted advisor to senior management on financial, operational, and strategic matters.
The successful candidate will possess strong technical accounting expertise, proven leadership experience in a multinational environment, and the ability to effectively influence stakeholders across finance, operations, legal, tax, development, and executive leadership teams.
Essential Job Functions
Lead the APAC accounting and reporting function across multiple jurisdictions.
Provide strategic oversight of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
Ensure timely and accurate management, statutory and shareholder reporting.
Lead regional audit, tax compliance and regulatory reporting activities.
Drive finance transformation and process improvement initiatives across APAC.
Oversee APAC financing and covenant compliance activities.
Support M&A transactions, due diligence, integration and corporate restructuring activities.
Establish and maintain a strong internal control and governance framework.
Develop, mentor and retain a high-performing finance team across the region.
Duties
Lead the APAC Finance & Accounting function, ensuring effective governance, financial stewardship and compliance across the region.
Provide strategic financial leadership to support business expansion, capital deployment and operational excellence.
Oversee financial reporting, treasury, audit, tax and regulatory compliance activities across APAC.
Drive finance transformation initiatives and the continuous enhancement of processes, systems and controls.
Build, develop and lead a high-performing finance team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Represent Finance in engagements with auditors, lenders, investors and regulatory authorities.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification required.
Minimum 12-15 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including significant leadership responsibility within a multinational organization.
Big 4 audit background strongly preferred.
Strong technical expertise in IFRS, consolidations, debt financing, treasury and M&A transactions.
Experience leading external audits, statutory reporting and regulatory compliance programs.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into business insights.
Proven ability to lead teams through organizational growth and change.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including interaction with executive leadership, auditors, investors and Board members.
Experience in real estate, infrastructure, construction or data center industries is preferred.
Experience with ERP platforms such as Yardi and enterprise reporting systems is advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, automation and finance transformation initiatives.
