Position Summary:
The Digital Media Designer is responsible for producing effective, high-impact creative content for the company, including digital assets, animations, videos, interactive media, etc. This position will support and maintain brand standards to deliver the creative content that communicates the brand story and tone, attracts and engages customers and consumers, and delivers on the brand and product strategy. The ideal candidate will have superior knowledge of digital design and creative principles and a proven track record of producing a large volume of high-end work product. This role will work closely with product marketers, corporate communications and digital marketing leads to develop project objectives, requirements and deliverables for digital design projects. This role requires a dynamic workflow, strong attention to detail, and ability to incorporate stakeholder feedback to keep content fresh and engaging.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and design digital media content for various platforms including websites, product graphics, email templates, social media graphics, brand campaigns, and photography.
- Conceptualize and design static graphics, edit short-form video, and produce motion animations for omni-channel campaign use.
- Monitor social and digital trends and platform updates to rapidly produce relevant and engaging visual assets.
- Manage processes, systems, and programs to enable internal stakeholders to efficiently leverage creative assets while maintaining and adhering to brand standards.
- Generate innovative ideas to enhance the Caris brand and improve the customer experience.
- Work closely with external agencies to ensure consistent production and distribution of creative work across campaigns and channels.
- Work cross functionally with internal business stakeholders to define projects, including objectives and requirements, resource allocation, content development, etc.
- Ensure timely execution and production of key deliverables (including reviews and revisions to meet deadlines).
- Translate complex scientific and clinical content into visually appealing and engaging digital assets, while reinforcing key features and benefits of the products.
- Manage deadlines and multi-task while consistently maintaining attention to detail.
- Continually broaden knowledge base regarding company science, company culture, business, industry and trends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in design/creative arts, marketing or other related fields is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 2-4 years of work experience in creative services (designer) within a digital marketing/communications function.
- Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing successful digital campaigns – portfolio required.
- Must possess strong working knowledge (near expert level) of Adobe Creative Cloud software, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Audition, etc., as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of design principles and layout techniques.
- Understanding of image and video dimensions, compression rules, accessibility best practices, and specs for major social and digital platforms.
- Proficiency in creating custom graphics, icons and illustrations.
- Exemplary planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to think creatively and initiate new ideas or solutions for business issues.
- Must be able to work across levels in the organization to drive projects to completion.
- Self-starter, ability to work in a fast-paced, competing deadline driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences or creative agency preferred.
