The Opportunity

Human Agency is growing, and so is our visual footprint. We need a sharp digital designer who can produce work that looks like it came from a world-class studio (on a contractor schedule, without hand-holding). Social graphics, pitch decks, and web design are the core of this role, and the bar for each is high.

This isn't a "make it pretty" job. Our clients are executives, founders, and mission-driven organizations. What we put in front of them has to be clean, intentional, and credible from the first glance. You'll be the person who makes that happen consistently, across a variety of contexts and brand identities that aren't your own.

You'll also bring AI into your workflow as a matter of course, not because we told you to, but because you've already figured out how to produce better work faster using it. If AI tools are a natural extension of how you think and create, you'll fit right in.

What You'll Own

You'll create digital and print graphics for social media, advertising, and internal initiatives. You'll edit short-form video content for social media and paid advertising. Additionally, you'll resize, format and adapt creative assets for different platforms and placements.

• Social Graphics — Design on-brand, scroll-stopping assets for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms across Human Agency and client accounts, with fast turnaround and consistent quality.
• Web Design — Execute light web design and page updates across platforms like Webflow, Squarespace, or similar; you understand layout, hierarchy, and what makes a page convert.
• Deck Design — Transform rough content into polished, presentation-ready decks that communicate clearly and look like they belong in a boardroom.
• Brand Stewardship — Work within existing brand systems and adapt them faithfully; when guidelines don't exist, make smart decisions and document what you do.
• Asset Management — Keep files organized, exportable, and ready for handoff without someone having to chase you down.

Who You Are

Experience & Skills

• 1–3+ years of professional digital design experience within motion and graphic design, with a portfolio that proves it.
• Proficient in Figma; comfortable in Canva and Capcut for templated social work; familiar with at least one website platform such as Webflow, Squarespace, or WordPress.
• Experience w/ Shopify is a plus
• Demonstrable experience designing social media graphics that performed — not just looked good in a vacuum.
• Solid deck design skills: you know how to layout information, not just style it.
• Working knowledge of typography, color, and layout fundamentals — you don't need a checklist to apply them.
• Actively uses AI tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, ChatGPT, or similar) as part of a real design workflow.
• Able to manage your own time, interpret a brief, and deliver clean files without a project manager orchestrating every step.

• You take feedback without drama and improve quickly (you're not precious about your work).
• You can context-switch between client brands and maintain fidelity to each one without blending them together.
• You're honest about your capacity and your deadlines; surprises are rare because you communicate early.
• You see AI as a creative accelerant, not a threat or a shortcut that replaces thinking.
• You care about the quality of what ships, even when no one is watching.

Compensation & Logistics

• This is an independent contractor engagement; you'll need to supply your own equipment and manage your own taxes.
• Work is fully remote, open to candidates based in the US or Canada.
• Hours will flex with project demand (some weeks are quiet, some aren't; we'll be upfront about what's coming).
• Travel is not expected for this role, though occasional exceptions may arise.
