Sobre esta vaga de Design Engineer, Web (AI-Native) - Hybrid na Clara
Clara is the leading spend management platform in Latin America. More than 40,000 businesses run on our corporate cards, bill pay, financing and B2B payments, and in 2025 the Financial Times named Clara the fastest-growing company in Latin America. We're ~400 people, backed by Kaszek, monashees, Coatue, DST Global, ICONIQ, General Catalyst and Goldman Sachs, among others.
What you'll do
You will design and build our website. This is a hands-on role for a website designer who builds with AI: you take a page from concept to production, using AI tools and code as part of your daily workflow, and you ship pages that convert across LatAm.
Success means building a website operation that continuously ships and continuously improves. You’ll integrate the existing site into an AI-native CI/CD workflow that makes it faster and safer to launch, test, learn, and iterate. Your work will be measured by the quality and consistency of the experience, conversion impact, speed to ship, and how effectively the systems you build make future work faster.
Your responsibilities
- Design and build Clara's website on our own stack: page templates, components, and a design system that lets the team launch pages in hours, not weeks.
- Use AI tools (Claude, Cursor, v0, Lovable, Figma AI, or similar) to go from brief to live page, and know when to take over and finish by hand.
- Build and operate agentic workflows for website delivery. Break larger website initiatives into parallel workstreams and use specialized AI agents for tasks such as implementation, QA, accessibility, performance, content validation, analytics, and localization.
- Prototype interactions at high fidelity. Use Figma, code, AI tools, and browser prototypes to demonstrate how the experience should actually behave before it reaches production.
- Use AI to accelerate concept exploration. Generate multiple layout, interaction, and component directions quickly, then curate, refine, and bring the strongest concepts to production quality. Create repeatable processes where AI can help generate
- Scout, pilot, and adopt new AI design and development tools. Explore AI-assisted component generation, design-system workflows, prototyping, and documentation so the whole team can ship faster without lowering quality.
- Maintain quality across the entire product-marketing surface. Ensure that web experiences, product demos, landing pages, interactive tools, and campaign experiences feel like parts of the same system.
- Build automated QA into the delivery pipeline. Use agents and tooling to continuously check visual consistency, responsive behavior, accessibility, performance, broken links, tracking, localization, and regressions before release.
Must haves
- 3+ years designing and shipping websites or landing pages with measurable business impact.
- A strong portfolio of live sites or pages with conversion results. Applications without a portfolio will not be considered.
- Strong product and content judgment: you can work with real product messaging, identify weak or generic claims, and help turn product capabilities into clear web experiences.
- Production-level front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a modern framework (React, Next.js, Astro, or similar). You can ship to production, not just prototype.
- Experience using AI beyond individual prompting: you are comfortable designing multi-step or multi-agent workflows, giving agents scoped responsibilities, reviewing their output, and coordinating parallel work.
- Experience with agent orchestration frameworks, coding agents, MCP-based workflows, or environments such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, Codex, or similar.
- Working understanding of CI/CD, Git-based workflows, preview deployments, staging environments, QA, and production releases.
- Active, daily use of AI coding and design tools. They are part of your real workflow, not an occasional experiment. Comfortable participating directly in the software delivery process rather than treating design handoff as the end of the job.
- You write effective prompts: you give models context, constraints, and references to get useful output in the first or second try.
- Expert in Figma, thinking in components and systems, not one-offs.
- Experience building or maintaining a design system or component library, including tokens, responsive behavior, states, and documentation.
- Experience with experimentation: A/B tests, iteration frameworks, and learning from results.
- Comfortable communicating with both creative and analytical teams, and able to manage multiple markets and languages in parallel.
Nice to haves
- Experience migrating a site from a no-code platform to a custom stack.
- Headless CMS experience (Sanity, Contentful, Strapi, or similar).
- Experience building custom GPTs, AI agents, or AI-assisted content and design pipelines.
- Motion and interaction design (Lottie, GSAP, Framer Motion).
- Familiarity with GA4, Mixpanel, or attribution tools, and with feature flags or experimentation platforms.
- Experience working with GitHub Actions.
- Experience with multi-market or multi-language portfolios.
- Experience working with B2B SaaS or fintech.
