Deputy Chief Manager - Workforce Productivity Enhancement (WPE)

Job Description

Deputy Chief Manager – Workforce Productivity Enhancement will drive productivity improvement, workforce optimization and cost-efficiency initiatives across Piramal Pharma Solutions’ API and Formulation sites. The role will partner with site and functional leaders to identify productivity opportunities, conduct diagnostics and IE studies, develop improvement plans, drive implementation and track financial impact.

The role will leverage Industrial Engineering, Lean, Six Sigma, workforce analytics and digital/automation solutions to improve manpower productivity, process efficiency, capacity utilization and overall operating effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive Productivity Excellence initiatives across API and Formulation sites.
• Conduct productivity diagnostics, gap assessments, benchmarking and IE studies to identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement productivity improvement plans using MOST, Time & Motion, Lean, Six Sigma, DILO, Capacity Planning and other IE tools.
• Optimize manpower, manning norms, workforce deployment and operating models across manufacturing and support functions.
• Support workforce budgeting, manpower forecasting and workforce planning.
• Analyze headcount, cost and productivity data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Establish productivity KPIs, dashboards, MIS and governance mechanisms.
• Identify opportunities through process improvement, automation and digitalization.
• Drive productivity projects with site teams and track benefits, savings and sustainability.
• Partner with Site HR, Operations, Quality, Engineering, Finance and other stakeholders to implement initiatives.
• Support achievement of Productivity Excellence targets and Long-Range Plans.
  

Experience & Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Productivity Excellence, Operational Excellence or Management Consulting.
• Manufacturing experience preferred; Pharma/API/Formulations experience is an advantage.
• B.E./B.Tech; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

• Strong analytical, project management and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, Minitab/SigmaXL and MS Office.
