DB Benefits Administrator
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for operational tasks associated with defined benefit plans in accordance with plan provisions and established procedures. The role supports pension data, payment, and payroll administration, with a specific focus on reviewing pension payment-related tasks, creating pension payments across multiple trust sites, and responding to call center questions related to pension payments. The Administrator is expected to maintain a high level of accuracy when handling pension payment and participant data and to pursue continued professional education, including taking and passing applicable professional examinations.
What You Will Do
- Review and organize plan and participant documents to support efficient information retrieval.
- Perform assigned data-processing activities related to defined benefit plan administration.
- Process participant records, payroll information, pension data, data queries, and plan-related documentation.
- Use applicable benefits administration systems to process participant requests within established service-level standards.
- Review pension payment-related tasks for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established procedures.
- Create and process pension payments across multiple trust sites.
- Research and provide accurate responses to call center questions related to pension payments.
- Review participant and payment information required to support pension payment administration.
- Coordinate fulfillment of participant letters and supporting documentation.
- Support pension payroll and payment administration activities.
- Collaborate with defined benefit associates on day-to-day pension administration and payment activities.
- Accurately record billable time to support correct client billing.
- Deliver accurate and timely service to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve pension payment and administrative processes.
- Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support special projects and additional defined benefit administration activities as assigned.
- Pursue continued professional education, including taking and passing applicable professional examinations.
- Responsibility for pension payment validation, reconciliation, corrections, exception handling, or payment approvals-
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 1–2 years of experience should include pension administration, payroll, payment processing, benefits administration
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong logical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when handling pension payment and participant data.
- Ability to review pension payment and payroll information accurately.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office or related software.
- Effective planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive client, participant, and payment information.
What Will Set You Apart
- Experience with defined benefit plan administration.
- Experience supporting pension payment or pension payroll activities.
- Experience reviewing, processing, or administering pension payments.
- Experience working with multiple trust or payment platforms.
- Experience researching and resolving pension payment-related questions or discrepancies.
- Relevant certification in U.S. employee benefits.
- U.S. benefits certification or professional examination is preferred, identify it by name
