That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

We are looking for a skilled Database Engineering intern for our Summer 2027 internship program. As a Database Engineering intern, you will utilize Microsoft SQL Server and Azure cloud services to construct data solutions, ensure data integrity, and proper data transformations to move data from sources to target data structures.

Our Database Engineering Interns will be responsible for things like:

• Design and implement effective database solutions.
• Identify root cause and impact of support issues and outages.
• Challenge the existing way of doing things by recommending solutions to improve new and existing systems.
• Collaborate and find simplified approaches to business complexities.

So what are we looking for?

• A mind for the details.  Okay we know “detail-oriented” is on about every job description – but we really mean it! 
• Fantastic problem solver.  Your job is not only to find the problem, but more importantly, find the solution.
• Organization and time management skills in spades.  You’ll be handling multiple projects and deadlines that will require you to prioritize then re-prioritize… then… re-prioritize again.
• Agile in a fast-past environment. We move, and we move quickly.  Thriving in an environment that never stops, is a must.
• Intellectual curiosity.  Why? What? How?  Do you find yourself always wanting to learn more and broaden your knowledge base?  If so, this could be the role for you.

The Specifics.

• You are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master’s with a graduation date of December 2027 – May 2028
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• You have a GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Experience in Python programming language for data processing and automation tasks
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in SQL Server, SSIS, and Stored Procedures for data integration
• Experience with Snowflake (a plus), a cloud-based data platform, for data warehousing and management.
• Our internship program will be 11 weeks starting May 2027 to August 2027
• Internships will be based out of our Home Office in Tempe, AZ
• You can expect a regular on-site schedule Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
