About this role

You will be part of our Promotion and Optimisation team in Amsterdam. Our team plays a critical role in JET's commercial growth, building the data infrastructure that powers our promotions engine — from sourcing and organising data to feeding our models, delivering outputs to campaign execution systems and . You will build and maintain the data marts, pipelines, and egress flows that ensure our data science team has clean, reliable, and timely inputs, and that our engine decisions reach the right systems on time.

These are some of the key components to the position:

• Data Architecture: Design, build, and own structured data marts that consolidate user, campaign, and partner signals to drive excellence.
• Pipeline Development: Build and maintain scalable data pipelines that source, transform, and deliver data across the engine — from raw inputs to model-ready features and from model outputs to CRM and campaign execution systems.
• Egress & Integration: Ensure model decisions flow cleanly from the engine to downstream systems (HighTouch, CRM, Voucher Hub) with proper schema governance, SLAs, and monitoring.
• Campaign Data Infrastructure: Build and maintain the pipelines that support our campaign operations — from data ingestion and processing to delivering refreshed outputs, enabling the team to respond quickly to changing conditions throughout the campaign week.
• Data Quality & Reliability: Implement monitoring, validation, and alerting to ensure pipelines are robust, data is accurate, and issues are caught before they affect live campaigns.
• Collaborative Builder: Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and CRM partners to understand their data needs, define schemas, and ensure the right data is in the right place at the right time.

What will you bring to the team?

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data infrastructure role, with a track record of building reliable pipelines at scale.
• Strong command of SQL and Python, with hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines in Google BigQuery.
• Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster) and data transformation frameworks (dbt).
• Experience building and maintaining data marts — structuring raw data into clean, reliable, model-ready tables.
• Familiarity with egress patterns, API integrations, and schema governance for delivering data to downstream systems.
• Ability to work across teams — translating data science requirements into engineering solutions and partnering with CRM and product teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple pipelines and ensure data integrity across the engine.
