We are seeking a Data Architect to join the Data Architecture team within Global Information Security (GIS). This is a full-time, permanent role focused on shaping trusted, governed, and reusable security data assets that power threat detection, exposure management, identity analytics, and compliance reporting across the enterprise. As a member the team, you will set data architecture direction on strategic cybersecurity initiatives, embed governance and quality by design, and partner across engineering, governance, and business stakeholders to move data engagement from reactive to proactive. This role also carries technical leadership and mentorship responsibilities that help grow the capability and standards maturity of the broader team.

This role encompasses data architecture across complex, multi-source cybersecurity initiatives that span multiple lines of business and control functions. Representative programs include Unified Security Exposure Management (USEM), ServiceNow-based CMDB/vulnerability and asset migrations, GenAI-enabled threat hunting, the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Common Information Model, Logging & Monitoring standardization, and compliance-finding pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise data policies, and Common Information Model (CIM) standards.

• Design and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models that enable secure, scalable analytics, reporting, logging, and monitoring.

• Establish and maintain data contracts, mappings, metadata, lineage, and documentation to deliver trusted, reusable data products.

• Advance data virtualization and pipeline strategies, leveraging federated and centralized platforms to improve access to security data.

• Drive security telemetry standardization through frameworks such as OCSF, enabling data consistency, interoperability, and AI-driven threat detection.

• Define real-time, batch, event-driven, and API-based integration patterns across cybersecurity platforms.

• Partner with governance, privacy, and data quality teams to ensure compliance with data standards, controls, lineage, and reconciliation requirements.

• Lead architecture reviews to embed enterprise data principles, reduce risk, and prevent costly rework.

• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and stakeholder education to strengthen data management practices, documentation standards, and organizational capability.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and implementing complex data architecture, including hands-on delivery as a Data Architect or in a closely related senior role.

• Strong command of data management principles, data modeling techniques (relational and dimensional), and data integration patterns.

• Proven experience authoring conceptual, logical, semantic, and physical models, metadata, and source-to-target mappings for multi-source environments.

• In-depth understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy concepts, including critical data elements, lineage, data dictionaries, data sharing agreements, SLAs, and data management standards.

• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., SAP PowerDesigner, Erwin Data Modeler) and modern data platforms.

• Strong SQL and Python skills, with hands-on experience across relational and NoSQL systems and big data environments.

• Thorough understanding of real-time, batch, and event-based data provisioning, plus ETL/ELT and API-based provisioning patterns.

• Experience with data quality measurement, scorecards, controls, remediation, and reconciliation techniques.

• Ability to independently architect solutions, lead design and code reviews, and ensure quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.

• Effective communication is required to be able to translate complex data concepts for both technical and executive audiences using tools such as Visio, PowerPoint, and Excel; comfortable presenting to large groups.

• Experience working on Agile teams and with Agile SDLC tooling.

Desired Qualifications

• Cybersecurity data expertise — Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF), Common Information Models (CIM), security telemetry, logging and monitoring standardization.

• Identity & Access Management data — familiarity with sources such as Azure AD/Entra, Ping Identity, CyberArk, and cloud IAM in AWS and Azure.

• Data virtualization and hybrid mesh + fabric fluency — Trino/Starburst; lakehouse foundations and open table formats; Databricks; dbt.

• ServiceNow as a system of origin for CMDB, vulnerability, and asset data (e.g., Qualys, Tanium migrations).

• Event streaming and change data capture (CDC); JSON Schema validation for event payloads.

• Data contracts and domain data products; end-to-end lineage standards; data/AI observability.

• AI-enablement data design — vector search and RAG data design, LLMOps integration, and AI governance standards.

• Zero Trust data architecture and operational data governance and privacy.

• Cloud platform experience across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Advanced modeling approaches — dimensional, Data Vault, anchor, and semantic modeling; metadata, lineage, and data catalogs.

• Knowledge of audit and regulatory concerns relevant to financial services.

• Industry certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or TOGAF.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$120,000.00 - $136,100.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
