Role Summary:
As a Salesforce B2B Commerce (APEX) Engineer the Consultant / Senior Consultant level, you will independently deliver complex Salesforce B2B Commerce solutions across client engagements — taking full ownership of your sprint stories from design through to QA handoff.
You will work closely with the tech architect and cross-functional teams including QA, integration, and client-side stakeholders, translating technical requirements into well-structured, performant Salesforce implementations. You bring growing platform expertise, a strong quality ethic, and maturity to proactively flag risks and support junior colleagues.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Own assigned Salesforce B2B Commerce (APEX) stories end-to-end — design, implementation, unit testing, peer review readiness, and QA handoff — within sprint commitments.
Develop robust Apex, SOQL-optimized queries, REST API integrations, and commerce flow customizations aligned to solution architecture and coding standards.
Work with architects, QA engineers, integration leads, and client teams to align technical delivery with program standards, sequencing decisions, and governance gates.
Identify and raise platform risks early — governor limit exposures, API consumer impacts, security gaps, and performance bottlenecks — and propose solutions.
Actively participate in and improve engineering practices: peer review standards, CI/CD adoption, test coverage, and deployment governance.
Provide code review, technical guidance, and day-to-day mentoring to analysts in the team.
Take part in Agentic AI sessions and workshops focused on practical AI usage in development and delivery workflows.
Use agentic AI tooling including Claude Code in daily engineering workflow attend and contribute to AI adoption sessions within the project team.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must Have:
Salesforce Apex — solid command of triggers, classes, async processing, governor limits, save points, rollback, and meaningful unit testing.
Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud — 3+ years hands-on commerce flows, pricing, entitlements, buyer experience customization, and data model configuration.
SOQL — query optimization, dulcification, and governor limit risk management in high-volume transactional flows.
REST API development — building and consuming APIs within Salesforce versioning awareness and integration pattern knowledge.
Payment and transaction patterns — idempotency guards, cart conversion logic, and transactional rollback implementation.
SFDX, Git-based version control, and sprint-based delivery discipline.
Good to Have:
Named/External Credentials configuration and PII data model awareness.
Seam B contract testing or consumer-driven API contract frameworks.
Salesforce Revenue Cloud (RCA), CPQ, or OMS exposure.
Salesforce Platform Developer or B2B Commerce certification.
Additional Information:
A 15 years full time education is required.
0–3 years of Salesforce or software development experience. Strong Salesforce fundamentals and a growth mindset are more important than years at this level.
