What’s the role

 

The Credit department is responsible for managing risks that arise from sales with 3rd party customers. Key objective is to assess the creditworthiness of customers, informed by industry, sovereign and external market intelligence, and decide the credit terms that may be extended as part of the sale. The department aims to support the delivery of business objectives through risk & value based decision making consistent with Business Risk Appetite, World Class People and Process with active management of risk and exposures. In doing so, the organisation, is accountable to approve credit exposures and manage them through active monitoring of customers' performance and behavior to ensure that they continue to meet their obligations under these agreements.

 

This role will be handling the mobility business for Malaysia and Indonesia. And this is a full-time contract role for a 1 year period.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

• Perform end-to-end Credit Operations activities for assigned portfolios and operating units, ensuring operational excellence across designated credit sub-processes such as Credit Vetting, Debt Collection & Recovery, and Cash Application & Allocation.
• Ensure compliance with contracted payment terms, the Downstream Credit Manual, OCM standards, SOX controls, delegated authorities (MoA), and established escalation procedures while operating key credit controls effectively and on a timely basis.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable, debt collection, customer risk exposure, credit-blocked orders, and dispute resolution processes within agreed service levels, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Support credit and risk management activities, including credit assessments, recommendations for credit line adjustments, bad debt provisioning reviews, security reviews, and identification of accounts requiring legal intervention.
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, customer complaints, disputes, and queries from customers, Customer Service Centers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
• Prepare and provide credit performance analyses, commentaries, and monthly performance metrics to support business decision-making and operational reviews.
• Support Credit Managers, Risk Managers, and business stakeholders by providing insights, identifying risks and process gaps, and ensuring credit strategies remain effective and relevant.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Account Managers, business partners, and other stakeholders, supporting portfolio reviews and providing guidance on credit-related matters.
• Stay informed of business, market, and industry developments to proactively support credit decision-making and risk management activities.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps, recommending practical solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance operational performance.

• Provide ad hoc support and complete additional assignments or projects as required by supervisors and management.

 

What you bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related Business discipline.

• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates with up to 2 years of experience will have an added advantage.
• Exposure in performing call outs and other collection efforts to third party customers is preferred.
• Candidates must be amenable to a 1-year contract role.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Demonstrates a collaborative mindset, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment while supporting team and business objectives.
