Position Highlights

The Seventh Judicial District is hiring a Court Operations Associate to join our team at our Gilliam County Circuit Court (Condon, Oregon) and Wheeler County Circuit Court (Fossil, Oregon) locations.

In this role, you will perform court case workflow tasks, including receiving pleadings and documents from parties and attorneys, entering information into the case management system, and examining paperwork for accuracy and completeness. You will answer and route phone calls, process incoming mail, file documents, and make copies. You will also answer questions, provide information about court calendars and the status of cases, supply forms, process payments, and credit accounts. The customer service you provide to judges, court staff, attorneys, case parties, and the public will be in person at the service counter, over the phone, and in writing.

Additionally, you will support a judge in the courtroom. Before court begins, you will set up the courtroom and the jury room. When court is in session, you will operate video conferencing equipment, record and monitor the proceedings, perform real-time data entry, fill out forms, swear in witnesses and jurors, mark and maintain exhibits, and keep trial records. You will also help with jury support duties in and out of the courtroom.

You will spend part of your time helping other court staff within the judicial district as needed.
